الساق على الساق هي رواية لأحمد فارس الشدياق، أحد مؤسسي الأدب العربي الحديث. تتحدث الرواية بالتفصيل عن حياة الفرياق، كتعبير عن أنا المؤلف، وتقدم شرحًا للقضايا الفكرية والاجتماعية، وتوصف بأنها دائمًا مبهرة ومضحكة في كثير من الأحيان، كما تعتبر أروع الروايات العربية وأكثرها إضحاكًا وإثارةً للدهشة. تل الرواية كتابًا غير قابل للتصنيف. نُشرت الرواية في الأصل عام 1855 باللغة العربية في باريس. وترجم همفري تي ديفيز الرواية للإنجليزية في عام 2014، ونشرتها مطبعة جامعة نيويورك.
Translation
Leg on Leg is a novel by Ahmed Fares Al-Shidyaq, one of the founders of modern Arabic literature. The novel talks in detail about the life of Al-Fariq, as an expression of the author’s ego, and provides an explanation of intellectual and social issues. It is described as always dazzling and often funny. It is also considered the most wonderful, funniest, and most surprising Arabic novel. The novel is an unclassifiable book. The novel was originally published in 1855 in Arabic in Paris. The novel was translated into English by Humphrey T. Davies in 2014, and published by New York University Press.
