Translation
The book “Advantages and Disadvantages” written by Al-Bayhaqi Ibrahim is one of the books that deals with the fields of literature and rhetoric. The book focuses on presenting the advantages and disadvantages associated with historical figures, stories, and events, relying on famous hadiths and sayings of important figures in Islamic history. The book deals with various topics, including the virtues and exemplary actions of some of the Companions and Followers, and the disadvantages and mistakes of those who apostatized from the religion or went against the People of the House, may God be pleased with them. The book also includes poems and boasts related to these figures, providing a comprehensive overview of some of the positive and negative aspects of Islamic history and Arabic literature.
