The writer’s joy in responding to Ibn al-Sirafi’s explanation

This book is a response by Al-Aswad Al-Ghandjani to Ibn Al-Sirafi, in which he criticizes Ibn Al-Sirafi’s interpretations of verses from the book of Sibawayh. In his response, Al-Aswad addresses the errors of Ibn Al-Sirafi in his attribution of some verses to poets other than their authors, and his distortion of their meanings and wording. In his responses, Al-Aswad relies on evidence from authentic Arabic poetry, and provides corrections to some verses in which Ibn Al-Sirafi admitted there were flaws.
