أخبار الحمقى والمغفلين هو كتاب عن أخبار ومواقف الحمقى والمغفلين، ألفه الحافظ الفقيه الحنبلي والمحدث والمؤرخ أبو الفرج بن الجوزي (508 هـ - 597 هـ)، وقد قسم المؤلف كتابه إلى أربعة وعشرين بابا، يذكر فيها أشعار وفصاحة وطبائع وصفات وأنواع الحمقى في الناس مع ذكر لبعض طرائفهم، كما يذكر المؤلف الأمثال التي ضربت في الحمقى أيضا.

Translation

News of Fools and Fools is a book about the news and positions of fools and fools, written by the Hanbali scholar, jurist, hadith scholar, and historian Abu Al-Faraj Ibn Al-Jawzi (508 AH - 597 AH). The author divided his book into twenty-four chapters, in which he mentions poems, eloquence, and the natures, characteristics, and types of fools in people, with a mention of some of their anecdotes. The author also mentions proverbs that were used about fools.
