كتابٌ في الأدب والبلاغة، جمع فيه مؤلفه طائفةً من الأمثال التي صاغها المولدون والإسلاميون، وقسّمها على أبواب تشمل المواعظ والحكم، والمدح والذم، والهزل والمجون، والتشبيه والاستعارة. يضم الكتاب أمثالاً نظماً ونثراً، ويخصّ أهل بغداد ببابٍ جامعٍ لأمثالهم، مع عنايةٍ بما ورد من ذلك في القرآن الكريم.
Translation
A book on literature and rhetoric, in which its author collected a group of proverbs formulated by the Messengers and Islamists, and divided them into sections that include sermons and wisdom, praise and condemnation, humor and immorality, and simile and metaphor. The book includes proverbs in verse and prose, and specializes in a comprehensive chapter on the people of Baghdad for their proverbs, with attention paid to what is mentioned in the Holy Qur’an.
