يعد كتاب "الإبل" من تأليف الأصمعي أحد كتب الأدب والبلاغة التي تناولت موضوع الإبل من جوانبها المختلفة، فتناول في محتواه أقوالا وأمثالا وأسماء تتعلق بالإبل، كما تناول أدواءها وسيرها وألوانها وأظماءها، فضلا عن ذكره لمواسم التزنيم وطرق الإلقاح، مقدما بذلك نظرة شاملة لعالم الإبل في الثقافة العربية القديمة.

Translation

The book “Camels” written by Al-Asma’i is one of the books of literature and rhetoric that dealt with the subject of camels from its various aspects. Its content dealt with sayings, proverbs, and names related to camels, as well as their medicines, behavior, colors, and sound, in addition to his mention of breeding seasons and methods of fertilization, thus providing a comprehensive view of the world of camels in ancient Arab culture.
