الإعجاز والإيجاز كتاب من أهم أعمال أبو منصور الثعالبي. وهذا العمل، مثل جميع مؤلفات الثعالبي، مكتوب باللغة العربية. ويتضمن مجموعة من الأمثال العربية. يقول الثعالبي في مقدمة هذا الكتاب: لعل هذا العمل من أبدع ما جادت به قرائح الكتاب، إذ يتسم بجمال النثر ورونقه، فهو يتفرد بلغةٍ تفيض سحرًا، وتداعب الأذهان بلطفٍ وذوقٍ فنيٍّ عميق. كل كلمة فيه تنبض بالحياة، وكل جملة تثير في النفس شعورًا من التناغم الإيقاعي، بحيث يتمازج الجمال اللفظي مع ألق المعنى، فيكاد القارئ يذوب في سرّ هذا النثر الذي يروي الوجدان ويثير الخيال. …
Translation
The Miracle and the Brief is one of the most important works of Abu Mansur Al-Thaalabi. This work, like all of Al-Tha'alabi's works, is written in Arabic. It includes a collection of Arabic proverbs. Al-Tha'alibi says in the introduction to this book: Perhaps this work is one of the most creative works that have been written in the book, as it is characterized by the beauty and elegance of the prose. It is unique in its language that overflows with magic, and caresses the mind with kindness and deep artistic taste. Every word in it is vibrant, and every sentence arouses in the soul a feeling of rhythmic harmony, so that verbal beauty blends with the brilliance of meaning, so that the reader almost dissolves in the secret of this prose that quenches the conscience and stimulates the imagination. …
