Translation

Enjoyment and Sociability is a book that narrates what happened during the thirty-seven nights that Abu Hayyan al-Tawhidi spent in courting with Vizier Abu Abdullah al-Arid, the vizier of Samsam al-Dawla al-Buwayhi. Al-Tawhidi collected it and gave it to the engineer Abu Al-Wafa Al-Buzjani, who connected him with Minister Abu Abdullah. It is three parts. The book includes discussions on issues such as the mind and soul, language, and science, in addition to criticism of some aspects of society and scholars of his time.
