البرصان والعرجان والعميان والحولان هو كتاب ألفه الجاحظ يتحدث فيه عن ذوي العاهات من البرصان والعرجان والعميان والحولان من الأعلام والأشراف والمشاهير والشعراء في المجتمع العربي آنذاك. والكتاب من نوادر كتب الجاحظ، حيث أفرد فيه الحديث عن ذوي العاهات من أشراف العرب ومشاهيرهم، وهو رد على الهيثم بن عدي لأنه صنع كتاباً في مثالب الأشراف من ذوي العاهات.
Translation
Al-Barasan, the Lame, the Blind, and the Cross-eyed is a book written by Al-Jahiz, in which he talks about people with disabilities, such as the lepers, the lame, the blind, and the cross-eyed, among the notables, nobles, celebrities, and poets in Arab society at that time. The book is one of the rare books of Al-Jahiz, in which he spoke exclusively about the nobles and famous people with disabilities, and it is a response to Al-Haytham bin Adi because he wrote a book about the faults of the nobles with disabilities.
