Translation
The book “The Vampire Poets in the Pre-Islamic Era” by Youssef Khalif deals with an in-depth study of the vagrant poets in the pre-Islamic era from linguistic, geographical, social and economic perspectives. The author focuses on interpreting the phenomenon of tramps and analyzing their poetry, reviewing the sources and artistic manifestations of their poetry and their social and economic influences on pre-Islamic society. Khalif emphasizes the idea of “tramp socialism,” which he believes reflects a social and economic revolution in that era, despite reservations about describing it as contemporary socialism.
