The book “Friendship and the Friend” by Abu Hayyan al-Tawhidi is one of the literary works that dealt with the subject of friendship and human relations, reviewing their various aspects and forms, and deducing from them rules and principles that establish a true friendship relationship based on chivalry, loyalty, and cooperation. The book also deals with the concept of familiarity and brotherhood and the moral and behavioral principles related to it, citing the sayings of wise men, thinkers, and people of religion and chivalry.
