المثل السائر في أدب الكاتب والشاعر هو كتاب في الأدب والبلاغة لأبي الفتح ضياء الدين بن الأثير المتوفي سنة 637هـ، وهو من مشاهير الكتب في الصناعتين (الأدب والشعر)، قال حاجي خليفة: «جمع فيه الجزري واستوعب، ولم يترك شيئا يتعلق بفن الكتابة إلا ذكره»
Translation
The prevailing example in the literature of the writer and poet is a book on literature and rhetoric by Abu al-Fath Dhiya al-Din ibn al-Atheer, who died in the year 637 AH. He is one of the most famous books in the two industries (literature and poetry). Haji Khalifa said: “Al-Jazari collected and comprehended it, and did not leave anything related to the art of writing without mentioning it.”
