Translation
The book “Literary Schools of Modern Poetry of the South of the Kingdom” by Muhammad Ali Subh deals with a detailed study of the schools of modern poetry in the southern region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The book focuses on analyzing the main poetic doctrines such as the conservative school, the conservative renewal school, and the liberal school of renewal, while reviewing their artistic characteristics and their most prominent poets. This research comes in the context of efforts to understand originality and tradition in modern Saudi poetry, and constitutes a valuable contribution to the field of studies of modern Arabic literature, especially in the field of Saudi poetry.
