Translation
The book “Al-Masoun fi Al-Adab” was written by Al-Askari Abu Ahmad, and it is one of the works that dealt with topics of literature and rhetoric in a variety of ways. The book deals with poetry criticism and analysis, with a focus on the forms and types of simile and description in Arabic poetry. It also includes selections of poetry and news, and discusses news of grammarians and scholars, thus providing a comprehensive picture of the world of literature and poetry in the era in which it was written.
