Translation
The book “Bada’i’ al-Badayah” by the scholar Ibn Dhafer al-Azdi covers selections of poetic verses and linguistic innovations, demonstrating the art of responding and answering among poets. The book brings together poems and proverbs from different eras, explaining how poetry and rhetoric skills have developed over time. The book also includes novels and hadiths about prominent poets such as Imru’ al-Qais and Ubaid ibn al-Abras, with a focus on the art of poetic response and the exchange of linguistic ideas between them.
