رباعيات الخيام

الرباعيات نوع من الشعر مشهور في الشعر الفارسي وقد عرف به عمر الخيّام، وهو غياث الدين أبو الفتوح عمر بن إبراهيم الخيام المعروف بعمر الخيام (1048 - 1131 م) وهو شاعر فارسي، وعالم في الفَلَك والرياضيات. ولعلها كُتِبَت في أوائل القرن الثاني عشر الميلادي/ 568 هـ ويأتي العنوان من صيغة الجمع للكلمة العربية رباعية، والتي تشير إلى قالب من قوالب الشعر الفارسي. والرباعية مقطوعة شعرية من أربعة أبيات تدور حول موضوع معين، وتكوّن فكرة تامة. وفيها إما أن تتفق قافية الشطرين الأول والثاني مع الرابع، أو تتفق جميع الشطور الأربعة في القافية.

Translation

Rubaiyat is a well-known type of poetry in Persian poetry, and Omar Khayyam was known for it. He is Ghiyath al-Din Abu al-Futuh Omar ibn Ibrahim al-Khayyam, known as Omar Khayyam (1048 - 1131 AD), a Persian poet, astronomer and mathematician. It was probably written in the early twelfth century AD/568 AH, and the title comes from the plural form of the Arabic word quatrain, which refers to a form of Persian poetry. The quatrain is a poetic piece of four verses that revolves around a specific topic and forms a complete idea. Either the rhyme of the first and second parts agrees with the fourth, or all four parts of the rhyme agree.
