يتناول هذا الكتاب دراسة الأدب الشعري في فترة الفتوحات الإسلامية الأولى، مركّزًا على تأثيرات الإسلام والجهاد على الشعر العربي. يفحص المؤلف كيف أدى التحول الديني والسياسي إلى نشوء مواضيع وأساليب جديدة في الشعر، متحديًا المفاهيم السائدة آنذاك بأن الشعر الجاهلي استمر دون تغيير جوهري. يدرس الكتاب أيضًا حياة وقصائد شعراء بارزين شاركوا في الفتوحات، مثل عمرو بن معد يكرب الزبيدي والقعقاع بن عمرو التميمي.
Translation
This book deals with the study of poetic literature in the period of the first Islamic conquests, focusing on the influences of Islam and jihad on Arab poetry. The author examines how religious and political transformation gave rise to new themes and styles in poetry, challenging notions of the time that pre-Islamic poetry continued fundamentally unchanged. The book also studies the lives and poems of prominent poets who participated in the conquests, such as Amr ibn Ma'di Yakrib al-Zubaidi and al-Qaqa ibn Amr al-Tamimi.
