عيار الشعر كتاب في نقد الشعر العربي ألّفه ابن طباطبا العلوي. يُصنَّف ضمن كتب النقد الأدبي في القرن الرابع الهجري، ويتناول قضايا تتصل بتعريف الشعر ومعاييره وأدوات صناعته. ويأتي كتاب عيار الشعر في سياق تطور النقد في القرن الرابع الهجري، حيث عرفت هذه المرحلة انتقالًا من الشكل الانطباعي إلى وضع معايير عقلية لضبط الجودة الشعرية.
Translation
The Caliber of Poetry is a book on criticism of Arabic poetry written by Ibn Tabataba Al-Alawi. It is classified among the books of literary criticism in the fourth century AH, and deals with issues related to the definition of poetry, its standards, and tools for making it. The book The Standard of Poetry comes in the context of the development of criticism in the fourth century AH, as this stage witnessed a transition from the impressionistic form to setting rational standards to control poetic quality.
