هذا الكتاب "غرر الخصائص الواضحة، وعرر النقائض الفاضحة" من تأليف الوطواط، يتناول موضوعات الأدب والبلاغة من خلال دراسة الأخلاق والصفات الإنسانية. ينقسم الكتاب إلى ستة عشر باباً، كل باب يتناول صفة أخلاقية معينة أو سمة شخصية، مثل الكرم واللؤم والذكاء والجبن، ويقسم كل باب إلى ثلاثة فصول تفصل في معاني ونماذج لهذه الصفات. يستعرض المؤلف في هذا الكتاب مزايا الصفات الحميدة وعيوب الصفات الرذيلة، مستعرضاً أمثلة من الأدب والحكمة لتوضيح محتواه.

Translation

This book, “The Deceptions of Clear Characteristics, and the Deceptions of Obvious Contradictions,” written by Al-Bat, deals with the topics of literature and rhetoric through the study of morals and human qualities. The book is divided into sixteen chapters. Each chapter deals with a specific moral quality or personal trait, such as generosity, meanness, intelligence, and cowardice. Each chapter is divided into three chapters detailing the meanings and examples of these qualities. In this book, the author reviews the advantages of good qualities and the disadvantages of vice qualities, presenting examples of literature and wisdom to clarify its content.
