كتاب "فحولة الشعراء" للإمام الأصمعي يتناول دراسة الشعر الجاهلي وأشهر شعرائه، مركزاً على مفهوم الفحولة في الشعر ومقاييسها. يُقارن الأصمعي بين شعراء بارزين مثل النابغة الذبياني وزهير بن أبي سلمى وامرئ القيس، مستعرضاً مميزاتهم وأساليبهم الشعرية، ويستشهد ببعض الأبيات الشعرية لدعم آرائه في مسألة من هو أشعر وأفضل الشعراء.
Translation
The book “The Virility of Poets” by Imam Al-Asma’i deals with the study of pre-Islamic poetry and its most famous poets, focusing on the concept of virility in poetry and its standards. Al-Asma’i compares prominent poets such as Al-Nabigha Al-Dhubyani, Zuhair bin Abi Salma, and Imru’ Al-Qais, reviewing their characteristics and poetic styles, and cites some poetic verses to support his opinions on the question of who is the most poetic and the best of poets.
