Translation
The Collection of Proverbs is a book written by Abu al-Fadl Ahmad bin Muhammad al-Naysaburi, known as al-Maydani. This book is considered a reference in ancient Arabic proverbs. Its number of pages is no less than two thousand pages divided into thirty sections, full of novels, poems, and proverbs of Arabs in pre-Islamic times and in Islam. It is said that Al-Zamakhshari, after he wrote Al-Mustakas fi Proverbs of the Arabs, came across this book, looked at it for a long time, and liked it very much. It is said that he regretted writing Al-Mustakas because he He recorded a collection of proverbs in good composition, placement, simplicity of expression, and abundance of benefits.
