About this work

مقامات الزمخشري هي خمسون مقامة ألفها أبو القاسم الزمخشري، توزعت مراميها في الحكمة والوصايا والأدب والتاريخ، نَهَل المؤلف فيها وغَرف من بحر الأدب ما عذب ببيانه، وأحكم إتقانه من لآلئ الكلم، كما عَمِد إلى شرح ما جاء فيها من بليغ اللغة وجمال ألفاظها. في المقدمة قدَّم نصائح لمن يتناول الكتاب بالتأني في قراءته والوقوف علي كل لفظ وتفهم المعاني الواردة. كما نصح بألا يقدم الكتاب إلا لعالم أو متدين أو أديب. كذلك طلب ممن يريد نسخ الكتاب أن ينسخه بخط جيد وأن يضع عليه اسم المؤلف كما طلب الدعاء له بالرحمة والرضوان.

Translation

Al-Zamakhshari’s Maqamat are fifty maqamat written by Abu Al-Qasim Al-Zamakhshari. Their goals are divided into wisdom, commandments, literature, and history. The author drank in them and scooped up from the sea of ​​literature what he exuded with his clarification, and mastered the pearls of speech. He also sought to explain what was contained in it in terms of the eloquence of the language and the beauty of its words. In the introduction, he gave advice to those who read the book carefully to read it, pay attention to every word, and understand the meanings contained. He also advised that the book should only be presented to a scholar, religious person, or writer. He also asked those who wanted to copy the book to copy it in good handwriting and put the author’s name on it. He also asked to pray for his mercy and satisfaction.
