This book is the Musnads of Abu Yahya Firas bin Yahya al-Maktab al-Kufi, containing his narrations on the authority of al-Sha’bi and other companions. The book deals with the series of chains of transmission and narrations that were transmitted from Firas bin Yahya to other hadith scholars, with a focus on his narrations on the authority of Al-Shabi and his request for hadith from the Companions.
