Translation
The book “Genealogies” by Abd al-Karim al-Sam’ani is a genealogical work that deals with the lineage of the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, the Quraish tribe, and many Arab tribes, relying on previous sources and his sheikhs. The book focuses on studying the lineage of the Arabs and their origins, reviews the history of some tribes and their journeys, and mentions the praise of scholars of previous generations for its author.
