The book “The Sedition of Takfir” by the hadith scholar Muhammad Nasir al-Din al-Albani deals with the issue of takfir as a great, ancient sedition adopted by the Kharijite sect, and warns against falling into it due to shallow knowledge and lack of understanding of the legal rules. The book explains that departing from the path of the believers and following a method other than theirs is the reason for the misguidance of many sects, past and present, based on the Quranic verse that condemns those who oppose the Messenger and follow a path other than the believers. The book includes a report from Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah bin Baz and a commentary from Sheikh Muhammad bin Saleh Al-Othaimeen.
