هذا معجم لغوي متخصص في تصحيح الأخطاء الشائعة في لغة الإعلام العربي بمفهومه الواسع، سواء المكتوب أو المسموع أو المرئي. يعتمد المؤلف في منهجه على تقديم القواعد النحوية والصرفية المطردة وتقديمها على الاستعمالات الشاذة، بهدف الحفاظ على وحدة اللغة العربية. يبدأ المعجم بمعالجة الأخطاء المتعلقة بحرف الهمزة ثم حرف الباء، متناولاً بالتصحيح والضبط عدداً من الكلمات والعبارات التي يكثر الخطأ فيها.
