كتاب "أسس علم اللغة" للمؤلف أحمد مختار عمر هو عمل تأسيسي في مجال الدراسات اللغوية، مصنف ضمن كتب اللغة. يقدم الكتاب في قسمه الأول قضايا أساسية في علم اللغة، متناولاً الفروق بينه وبين فقه اللغة، وخصائص اللغة المتكلمة، ومستويات التحليل اللغوي المختلفة كالأصوات والصرف والنحو والدلالة، بالإضافة إلى تصنيف اللغات وتوزيعها الجغرافي. أما القسم الثاني فيتخصص في علم اللغة الوصفي، شارحاً المصطلحات الأساسية فيه مثل الفونيم والمورفيم والتركيب النحوي، وذلك وفقاً للمعلومات المتاحة من فهرس المحتويات والمقتطف.
Translation
The book “Foundations of Linguistics” by Ahmed Mukhtar Omar is a foundational work in the field of linguistic studies, classified as language books. In its first section, the book presents basic issues in linguistics, addressing the differences between it and philology, the characteristics of the spoken language, and the various levels of linguistic analysis such as sounds, morphology, grammar, and semantics, in addition to the classification of languages and their geographical distribution. The second section specializes in descriptive linguistics, explaining its basic terms such as phonemes, morphemes, and grammatical structure, according to the information available from the table of contents and the excerpt.
