This book is a lecture delivered by the author to a group of Al-Azhar professors, in which he studied and analyzed the subject of the Talmud from a linguistic and terminological standpoint. The author examines the origin of the word "Talmud" in the Hebrew language and its derivations. He explains the difference between the Jewish sects in belief in it, and also presents some of the provisions and beliefs contained in the Talmud.
