Translation
This book, “A Collection of Political Documents of the Prophet’s Era and the Caliphate,” by Muhammad Hamidullah, is considered one of the most important historical sources that provides detailed information about the Prophet’s era and the Rightly Guided Caliphate. The book contains a collection of political documents that were collected and analyzed by studying different narratives and the language used in the documents. The book covers various periods of the Prophet’s era, including the period before the Hijra and the period after the Hijra, and includes a group of documents such as the first, second and third Pledge of Aqaba, the letter of the Ansar to the Messenger of God, the book of Aman by Suraqa bin Malik al-Madlaji, and the prohibition of Medina and its liberation. The book is an important source for the historical and political study of the Prophet’s era and the Rightly Guided Caliphate, and provides useful information about the administrative and political system established by the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace.
