التنبيه والأشراف هو أحد الكتب ألتي ألفها المؤرخ العباسي أبو الحسن المسعودي في القرن العاشر، ويعتبر مع كتاب مروج الذهب من أهم الكتب ألتي ألفها وتكلم فيها عن تاريخ العالم والأمم منذ نشوء العالم حسب أفكار ذلك الزمن إلى عصر الخلفاء العباسيين. كما تكلم أيضاً عن الفلك والكواكب وعن البحار. أشار إلى تاريخ عدة أقوام مثل الكلدان والفرس واليونانيون و القبط والروم والفرنجة. قام المستشرق الهولندي دي خويه بترجمته إلى الإنجليزية والهولندية.
Translation
Al-Tanbih wa al-Ashraf is one of the books written by the Abbasid historian Abu al-Hasan al-Masoudi in the tenth century, and it is considered, along with the book Muruj al-Dhahab, one of the most important books he wrote in which he talked about the history of the world and nations since the emergence of the world according to the ideas of that time until the era of the Abbasid caliphs. He also spoke about astronomy, planets, and the seas. He referred to the history of several peoples, such as the Chaldeans, Persians, Greeks, Copts, Romans, and Franks. The Dutch orientalist De Goe translated it into English and Dutch.
