This book deals with the Battle of Zallaqah, which took place in Andalusia in the year 479 AH, and the author classifies it as one of the most important and decisive battles in Islamic history. Al-Masry focuses on the strategic importance of this battle in preserving the presence of Muslims in Andalusia after the fall of the Umayyad Caliphate and the Amiriyya state, and the role of the Almoravids in supporting Muslims there. The book also discusses the political and military developments that preceded the battle, and the circumstances that led to its historical results in stopping the Crusader advance in the region.
