The book “The Omari Conquest of Jerusalem is a Model for Calling for Action and Example” by the writer Shafiq Jasser Ahmed Mahmoud is concerned with studying the history of the conquest of Jerusalem at the hands of the Caliph Omar bin Al-Khattab, based on Islamic and Christian sources to document the events and the behavior of the Caliph and his companions. It highlights the moral values on which the behavior of Muslims in that era was based, explaining how these values contributed to attracting Christians to Islam and strengthening confidence in the justice of Islamic rule. The work concludes with an analysis of the religious and social implications of the conquest, with reference to the construction of the mosque in Al-Aqsa Square and the provision of source references.
