كتاب تاريخ مختصر الدول لابن العبري هو مؤلف تاريخي يختصر مسار الدول والأنساب بدءًا من آدم وحتى عُمرم، ويجمع بين السرد التاريخي والأنساب بأسلوب مختصر وبلاغي. يضم محتوىً يشتمل على فهرس مفصل يذكر أسماء الأعلام والأماكن وفق ترتيب معجمي، مع إشارة إلى اختلاف الروايات السريانية والعربية. يُظهر المؤلف اتساع اطلاعٍ على العلوم واللغات، معتمدًا على مصادر متعددة لتقديم صورة شاملة للوقائع التاريخية.
Translation
The book Mukhtasar al-Dawl by Ibn al-Abri is a historical work that summarizes the path of states and lineages starting from Adam to Umram, and combines historical narrative and genealogy in a concise and rhetorical manner. It includes content that includes a detailed index mentioning proper names and places according to lexical order, with reference to the differences in Syriac and Arabic narrations.
