كتاب تاريخ مكة المشرفة والمسجد الحرام والمدينة للشيخ الإمام العلامة ابن الضياء يُعَدّ مؤلفًا تاريخيًا يسلط الضوء على مسار مكة ومكانتها الدينية عبر العصور. يتناول تفاصيل خَلْق الكعبة قبل السماوات، وبنائها على يد الملائكة وآدم وإبراهيم، ويستعرض مراحل إقامتها وتغيّرها من الجاهلية إلى الإسلام، إضافة إلى ذكر أحداث مرتبطة بالمدينة والقبر الشريف. يشتمل على فصول تتناول أدوار بني إسماعيل، وقصص الفيل، وتطور الطقوس والحج، ما يجعل النص مرجعًا شاملًا لتاريخ الأماكن المقدسة.

Translation

The book The History of Mecca, the Grand Mosque, and Medina by Sheikh Imam Allama Ibn al-Diya is considered a historical work that sheds light on the path of Mecca and its religious status throughout the ages. It deals with the details of the creation of the Kaaba before the heavens, and its construction by the angels, Adam, and Abraham, and reviews the stages of its establishment and change from pre-Islamic times to Islam, in addition to mentioning events related to Medina and the Holy Grave. It includes chapters dealing with the roles of Bani Ismail, elephant stories, and the development of rituals and pilgrimage, making the text a comprehensive reference for the history of the holy places.
