Translation
The book provides a comprehensive historical study of the development of journalism in Egypt from 1798 to 1981, based on accurate documents and evidence. The author deals with the official and popular press across multiple periods, including the Urabi Revolution, the occupation, and after the friendly agreement, in addition to the press between the two world wars and the period after 1940. It also includes an analysis of legislation related to the press and a list of Arab and French newspapers published in Egypt, with research references and documentary appendices.
