حسن المحاضرة في تاريخ مصر والقاهرة هو كتاب من تأليف جلال الدين السيوطي (القاهرة 849 هـ/1445م - القاهرة 911 هـ/1505م)، يصف به ما وَرَد بشأن مصر قديماً، عهد الفراعنة وبُناة الأهرام، وحديثاً ما ورد في عصره، ووصف الفتوحات الإسلامية وما صاحبها من وقائع وأحداث، وما تم من امتزاج المصريين بالعرب عندما فُتحت مصر على يد الصحابي عمرو بن العاص سنة 20 هـ، وذكر فيه الوافدين على مصر والمؤرخين والقُصاص والشعراء وغيرهم، وذكر عادات المصريين ومواسمهم وأعيادهم والأسباب الدائرة بينهم، وما كان فيها من أندية الأدب ومجالس الشعر والسمر، يعد الكتاب وثيقة تاريخية عن حياة العالم السيوطي لانه خصص فيه فصلاً كاملاً عن سيرته …
Translation
Hasan Al-Mudathah fi the History of Egypt and Cairo is a book written by Jalal al-Din al-Suyuti (Cairo 849 AH/1445 AD - Cairo 911 AH/1505 AD), describing what was reported about Egypt in ancient times, the era of the Pharaohs and the builders of the pyramids, and more recently what was reported in his era, describing the Islamic conquests and the facts and events that accompanied them, and the mixing of Egyptians with Arabs when it was conquered. Egypt by the companion Amr ibn al-Aas in the year 20 AH, in which he mentioned the expatriates to Egypt, historians, storytellers, poets, and others, and mentioned the customs of the Egyptians, their seasons, their holidays, the events that took place among them, and the literature clubs and poetry and evening gatherings that existed therein.
