كتابٌ تاريخيٌّ يسلّط الضوء على خلافة أمير المؤمنين عبد الله بن الزبير، مستنداً إلى سِجِلٍّ مفصَّلٍ عن نسبه، وصفاته، ومراحل نشاطه في عهدي الخلفاء الراشدين ثم في عهد الأمويين، بما في ذلك بيعه ليوسف بن معاوية وحركته ضدهم. يقدِّم المؤلف عليُّ محمد الصلابي تحليلاً للوقائع من خلال فصولٍ تتناول مشاركته في معارك اليرموك، كتابة المصاحف، جهاداته في شمال أفريقيا، ودوره في معركة الجمل، إلى جانب تفاصيل بيعه بالخلافة بعد وفاة يزيد. يُعَدُّ هذا العمل مرجعاً يُعنى بدراسة الدولة الأموية وعوامل ازدهارها وانهيارها عبر سيرة عبد الله بن الزبير.
Translation
A historical book that sheds light on the succession of the Commander of the Faithful, Abdullah bin Al-Zubayr, based on a detailed record of his lineage, characteristics, and stages of his activity during the era of the Rightly Guided Caliphs and then during the era of the Umayyads, including his sale to Yusuf bin Muawiyah and his movement against them. The author, Ali Muhammad al-Sallabi, provides an analysis of the facts through chapters that address his participation in the battles of Yarmouk, the writing of the Qur’an, his jihad in North Africa, and his role in the Battle of the Camel, in addition to the details of his sale to the caliphate after Yazid’s death. This work is considered a reference for studying the Umayyad state and the factors of its prosperity and collapse through the biography of Abdullah bin Al-Zubair.
