هذا الكتاب يتناول عصر الدولة الزنكية ودورها في مقاومة التغلغل الباطني والغزو الصليبي، مركزاً على حكم عماد الدين زنكي وابنه نور الدين محمود. يدرس الكتاب أصول الأسرة الزنكية وتطور شخصية عماد الدين زنكي السياسية والعسكرية، فضلاً عن علاقاته مع الخلافة العباسية والسلطة السلجوقية. كما يتناول توسع الدولة الزنكية في شمال بلاد الشام وإقليم الجزيرة، ويبرز الدور الذي لعبته في الحفاظ على المشروع الإسلامي خلال تلك الفترة التاريخية.
Translation
This book deals with the era of the Zengid state and its role in resisting internal penetration and the Crusader invasion, focusing on the rule of Imad al-Din Zengi and his son Nur al-Din Mahmoud. The book studies the origins of the Zengid dynasty and the development of Imad al-Din Zengi's political and military personality, as well as his relations with the Abbasid Caliphate and the Seljuk authority. It also addresses the expansion of the Zengid state in the northern Levant and the Jazira region, and highlights the role it played in preserving the Islamic project during that historical period.
