كتاب «فتنة مقتل عثمان بن عفان رضي الله عنه» للكاتب محمد بن عبد الله غبان الصبحي يُعنى بدراسة تاريخية للفتنة التي أدت إلى مقتل الخليفة عثمان، حيث يُفصل في مسوغات الخروج عليه، وأحداث الحصار في دار، وتفاصيل مقتله وجنازته، مع إسناد الأحاديث الصحيحة ذات الصلة. يُقسم المحتوى إلى فصول تتناول المبررات المزعومة، ومُثيري الفتنة، ووصف دار الحصار، ومفاوضات عثمان مع محاصريه، إضافة إلى نقد بعض كتابات المعاصرين. يختتم الكتاب بملاحق تشمل الأحاديث المرفوعة الصحيحة، ما يجعله مرجعاً تاريخياً يُعنى بتحليل الوقائع والآراء المتباينة حول هذه الفتنة.

Translation

The book “The Sedition of the Killing of Othman bin Affan, may God be pleased with him,” by the writer Muhammad bin Abdullah Ghaban Al-Subhi, is concerned with a historical study of the sedition that led to the killing of Caliph Othman, as it details the justifications for rebelling against him, the events of the siege in a house, and the details of his murder and funeral, with the attribution of relevant authentic hadiths. The content is divided into chapters that deal with the alleged justifications, the instigators of strife, a description of the siege house, and Uthman’s negotiations with his besiegers, in addition to criticizing some of the writings of contemporaries. The book concludes with appendices that include authentic hadiths, making it a historical reference for analyzing the facts and differing opinions about this strife.
