The book “How did the Tatars enter Muslim countries” by Suleiman bin Hamad Al-Awda is a historical book that deals with the entry of the Tatars into the lands of the Islamic world, based on a deeper analysis of the events and a review of the narratives to clarify the causes and consequences. It is divided into chapters that deal with the origin of the Tatars and their belief, the first motives, their invasions and tragedies in Bukhara and Samarkand, the events of Baghdad and the fall of the Abbasid Caliphate, in addition to a review of the fateful, political and economic factors that contributed to that ordeal. The author aims to show how contemplating history can draw lessons for the present and the future.
