The book “Nuggets of Gold: A Study in Qur’anic Rhetoric” by Mahmoud Tawfiq Muhammad Saad is a study in the field of Qur’anic sciences, focusing on Arabic jurisprudence in explaining the Qur’anic revelation. The book deals with various rhetorical topics, such as context, Qur’anic readings, Qur’anic vocabulary, and the rhetoric of the methods of appeal, interrogative, shortening, and conditional, through analyzing verses from the Holy Qur’an. The author aims to show that the Arabic study of the Qur’an must derive its curriculum from the reality of the statement of the Arabs in the era of revelation, away from foreign curricula.
