About this work
Translation
The book “Al-Tasarif li-Tafsir Al-Qur’an, Menu whose Names Are Ambiguous” by Yahya bin Salam is one of the early books in the science of faces and Qur’anic analogies, which is a science that studies the Qur’anic words that are repeated in the Holy Qur’an with different meanings. The book aims to explain the multiple meanings of a single Qur’anic word according to its different contexts, which helps to understand the purposes of the Qur’an and the secrets of its explanation. This work was completed as part of a research plan that sheds light on the Tunisian Africa’s contribution to serving the Qur’an and its sciences, and it is considered one of the first books to appear in this field, along with the book Muqatil bin Suleiman.
