أَمْلَاهُ عَلَيْنَا مِنْ النَّوَادِرِ قَالَ كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ أَبُو تَوْبَةَ الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ وَاقِدٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ مُوسَى عَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ تَمِيمٍ الدَّارِيِّ قَالَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ قَرَأَ بِمِائَةِ آيَةٍ فِي لَيْلَةٍ كُتِبَ لَهُ قُنُوتُ لَيْلَةٍ

Hadith 16,346Musnad Ahmad

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ عَنْ مَسْلَمَةَ بْنِ مُخَلَّدٍأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ سَتَرَ مُسْلِمًا فِي الدُّنْيَا سَتَرَهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ وَمَنْ نَجَّى مَكْرُوبًا فَكَّ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ كُرْبَةً مِنْ كُرَبِ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ وَمَنْ كَانَ فِي حَاجَةِ أَخِيهِ كَانَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فِي حَاجَتِهِ

Muhammad ibn Bakr told us, Ibn Jurayj told us, on the authority of Ibn al-Munkadir, on the authority of Abu Ayyub, on the authority of Maslama ibn Mukhlid, that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him He said, “Whoever protects a Muslim in this world, God Almighty will protect him in this world and the Hereafter, and whoever rescues a distressed person, God will relieve him of one distress.” On the Day of Resurrection, whoever is in his brother’s need, God Almighty will be in his need.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى أَبِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ وَابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ عَنِ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ عَنْ مَكْحُولٍأَنَّ عُقْبَةَ قَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ أَتَى مَسْلَمَةَ بْنَ مُخَلَّدٍ بِمِصْرَ وَكَانَ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْبَوَّابِ شَيْءٌ فَسَمِعَ صَوْتَهُ فَأَذِنَ لَهُ فَقَالَ إِنِّي لَمْ آتِكَ زَائِرًا وَلَكِنِّي جِئْتُكَ لِحَاجَةٍ أَتَذْكُرُ يَوْمَ قَالَ عَبَّادٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ عَلِمَ مِنْ أَخِيهِ سَيِّئَةً فَسَتَرَهَا سَتَرَهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ بِهَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فَقَالَ نَعَمْ فَقَالَ لِهَذَا جِئْتُ قَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ فِي حَدِيثِهِ رَكِبَ عُقْبَةُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ إِلَى مَسْلَمَةَ بْنِ مُخَلَّدٍ وَهُوَ أَمِيرٌ عَلَى مِصْرَ

Abdullah narrated to us, saying: I read this hadith to my father. Abbad bin Abbad and Ibn Abi Adi narrated to us, on the authority of Ibn Aoun, on the authority of Makhoul, that Uqba said: Ibn Abi Adiy came to Maslama ibn Mukhlid in Egypt, and there was something between him and the doorman, so he heard his voice and gave him permission, and he said, “I did not I came to you as a visitor, but I came to you for a need. I remember the day Abbad said in his hadith: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: Whoever learns an evil from his brother So he covered it, God Almighty will cover him with it on the Day of Resurrection, and he said, “Yes,” and he said, “For this I have come.” Ibn Abi Adi said in his hadith, “Uqba bin Amer to Maslama bin Mukhlid, who was the prince of Egypt.

قَالَ حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجُعْفِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا بِهِ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ بْنِ جَابِرٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَشْعَثِ الصَّنْعَانِيِّ عَنْ أَوْسِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ قَالَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ غَسَّلَ وَاغْتَسَلَ وَغَدَا وَابْتَكَرَ فَدَنَا وَأَنْصَتَ وَلَمْ يَلْغُ كَانَ لَهُ بِكُلِّ خُطْوَةٍ كَأَجْرِ سَنَةٍ صِيَامِهَا وَقِيَامِهَا

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ عَنْ حَسَّانَ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَشْعَثِ الصَّنْعَانِيِّ عَنْ أَوْسِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ الثَّقَفِيِّ قَالَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَنْ غَسَّلَ وَاغْتَسَلَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَبَكَّرَ وَابْتَكَرَ وَمَشَى وَلَمْ يَرْكَبْ فَدَنَا مِنْ الْإِمَامِ وَاسْتَمَعَ وَلَمْ يَلْغُ كَانَ لَهُ بِكُلِّ خُطْوَةٍ أَجْرُ سَنَةٍ صِيَامِهَا وَقِيَامِهَاحَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ حَدَّثَنِي حَسَّانُ بْنُ عَطِيَّةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَشْعَثِ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ أَوْسٍ الثَّقَفِيُّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ ثُمَّ غَدَا وَابْتَكَرَ

Yahya bin Adam told us, he said: Ibn al-Mubarak told us, on the authority of Al-Awza’i, on the authority of Hassan bin Atiya, on the authority of Abu Al-Ash’ath Al-San’ani, on the authority of Aws Ibn Aws Al-Thaqafi said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, saying: Whoever washes and bathes on Friday and gets up early and goes early and walks and does not He rode close to the imam, and he listened and did not cancel. For every step he took, he had the reward of a year of fasting and prayer. Ali bin Ishaq told us, he said. حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَرْطَاةُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْمُنْذِرِ حَدَّثَنَا ضَمْرَةُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ نُفَيْلٍ السَّكُونِيُّ قَالَكُنَّا جُلُوسًا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذْ قَالَ لَهُ قَائِلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَلْ أُتِيتَ بِطَعَامٍ مِنْ السَّمَاءِ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ وَبِمَاذَا قَالَ بِمِسْخَنَةٍ قَالُوا فَهَلْ كَانَ فِيهَا فَضْلٌ عَنْكَ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ فَمَا فُعِلَ بِهِ قَالَ رُفِعَ وَهُوَ يُوحَى إِلَيَّ أَنِّي مَكْفُوتٌ غَيْرُ لَابِثٍ فِيكُمْ وَلَسْتُمْ لَابِثِينَ بَعْدِي إِلَّا قَلِيلًا بَلْ تَلْبَثُونَ حَتَّى تَقُولُوا مَتَى وَسَتَأْتُونَ أَفْنَادًا يُفْنِي بَعْضُكُمْ بَعْضًا وَبَيْنَ يَدَيْ السَّاعَةِ مُوتَانٌ شَدِيدٌ وَبَعْدَهُ سَنَوَاتُ الزَّلَازِلِ

Abu Al-Mughirah told us, he said, Artat told us, meaning Ibn Al-Mundhir, Damra bin Habib told us, he said, Salama bin Nufayl Al-Sakouni told us, we said He was sitting with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, when someone said to him, “O Messenger of God, have you brought food from the sky?” He said, “Yes.” He said, “And with what?” he said. With a hot pot. They said: Was there any benefit in it for you? He said: Yes. He said: What was done to it? He said: It was removed. And it was revealed to me: I am subdued and will not remain with you. And you will not tarry after me except a little while, but you will tarry until you say, “When will you come as confederates, some of you annihilating one another?” and before the Hour there will be a severe death. And then there were years of earthquakes

Hadith 16,351Musnad Ahmad

حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْجُرَشِيِّ عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ نُفَيْرٍ أَنَّ سَلَمَةَ بْنَ نُفَيْلٍ أَخْبَرَهُمْأَنَّهُ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ إِنِّي سَئِمْتُ الْخَيْلَ وَأَلْقَيْتُ السِّلَاحَ وَوَضَعَتْ الْحَرْبُ أَوْزَارَهَا قُلْتُ لَا قِتَالَ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْآنَ جَاءَ الْقِتَالُ لَا تَزَالُ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِي ظَاهِرِينَ عَلَى النَّاسِ يَرْفَعُ اللَّهُ قُلُوبَ أَقْوَامٍ فَيُقَاتِلُونَهُمْ وَيَرْزُقُهُمْ اللَّهُ مِنْهُمْ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ أَمْرُ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَهُمْ عَلَى ذَلِكَ أَلَا إِنَّ عُقْرَ دَارِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ الشَّامُ وَالْخَيْلُ مَعْقُودٌ فِي نَوَاصِيهَا الْخَيْرُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ

Al-Hakam bin Nafi’ told us, he said: Ismail bin Ayyash told us, on the authority of Ibrahim bin Sulaiman, on the authority of Al-Walid bin Abdul Rahman Al-Jurashi, on the authority of Jubayr bin Nufayr said that Salamah bin Nufayl told them that he came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and said, “I am tired of horses, and I have laid down my weapons and laid The war has ended. I said, “No fighting.” Then the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to him, “Now the fighting has come. A group of my nation is still prevailing over the people.” God is the hearts of peoples, so they fight them, and God provides for them from among them until the command of God Almighty comes, and they are in that. Indeed, the depths of the abode The believers of the Levant and the horses, with goodness tied to their forelocks until the Day of Resurrection.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ قَالَ وَجَدْتُ فِي كِتَابِ أَبِي بِخَطِّ يَدِهِ قَالَ كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ أَبُو تَوْبَةَ الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ وَكَانَ فِي كِتَابِهِ حَدَّثَنَا الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ وَاقِدٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ مُوسَى عَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْأَخْنَسِأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا تَنَافُسَ بَيْنَكُمْ إِلَّا فِي اثْنَتَيْنِ رَجُلٌ أَعْطَاهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ الْقُرْآنَ فَهُوَ يَقُومُ بِهِ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ وَآنَاءَ النَّهَارِ وَيَتَّبِعُ مَا فِيهِ فَيَقُولُ رَجُلٌ لَوْ أَنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى أَعْطَانِي مِثْلَ مَا أَعْطَى فُلَانًا فَأَقُومَ بِهِ كَمَا يَقُومُ بِهِ وَرَجُلٌ أَعْطَاهُ اللَّهُ مَالًا فَهُوَ يُنْفِقُ وَيَتَصَدَّقُ فَيَقُولُ رَجُلٌ لَوْ أَنَّ اللَّهَ أَعْطَانِي مِثْلَ مَا أَعْطَى فُلَانًا فَأَتَصَدَّقَ بِهِ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَرَأَيْتُكَ النَّجْدَةَ تَكُونُ فِي الرَّجُلِ وَسَقَطَ بَاقِي الْحَدِيثِ

Abdullah told us, he said: I found in my father’s book in his handwriting. And a man to whom God gave money He spends and gives in charity, and a man says, “If only God had given me what He gave so-and-so, so I could give him in charity.” Then a man said, “O Messenger of God, have you seen that?” Help comes from the man, and the rest of the hadith is omitted.

Hadith 16,353Musnad Ahmad

حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ سَيْفٍ عَنْ غُضَيْفِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ أَوْ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ غُضَيْفٍِ قَالَمَا نَسِيتُ مِنْ الْأَشْيَاءِ مَا نَسِيتُ أَنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَاضِعًا يَمِينَهُ عَلَى شِمَالِهِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ

Hammad bin Khaled told us, Muawiyah bin Salih told us, on the authority of Yusuf bin Saif, on the authority of Ghudayf bin Al-Harith, or Al-Harith bin Ghudayf, he said, “I have often forgotten.” One of the things I have not forgotten is that I saw the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, placing his right hand on his left in prayer.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ سَيْفٍ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ غُضَيْفٍ أَوْ غُضَيْفِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ قَالَمَا نَسِيتُ مِنْ الْأَشْيَاءِ لَمْ أَنْسَ أَنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَاضِعًا يَمِينَهُ عَلَى شِمَالِهِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ

Abd al-Rahman bin Mahdi narrated to us, Muawiyah narrated to us, on the authority of Yunus bin Saif, on the authority of al-Harith bin Ghudayf, or Ghudayf bin al-Harith, he said, “I have forgotten who.” Things I have not forgotten that I saw the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, placing his right hand on his left in prayer.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ حَدَّثَنِي الْمَشْيَخَةُأَنَّهُمْ حَضَرُوا غُضَيْفَ بْنَ الْحَارِثِ الثُّمَالِيَّ حِينَ اشْتَدَّ سَوْقُهُ فَقَالَ هَلْ مِنْكُمْ أَحَدٌ يَقْرَأُ يس قَالَ فَقَرَأَهَا صَالِحُ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ السَّكُونِيُّ فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ أَرْبَعِينَ مِنْهَا قُبِضَ قَالَ فَكَانَ الْمَشْيَخَةُ يَقُولُونَ إِذَا قُرِئَتْ عِنْدَ الْمَيِّتِ خُفِّفَ عَنْهُ بِهَاقَالَ صَفْوَانُ وَقَرَأَهَا عِيسَى بْنُ الْمُعْتَمِرِ عِنْدَ ابْنِ مَعْبَدٍ

Abu Al-Mughirah narrated to us, Safwan narrated to us, the sheikhdom narrated to me, that they attended Ghudayf bin Al-Harith Al-Thumali when his market was severe, and he said: Did Is there anyone among you who reads Yaseen? He said, so Salih bin Shurayh al-Sakouni recited it, and when he reached forty of it, he was arrested. He said, and the sheikhdom used to say, “If It was recited at the presence of the dead, and it was relieved for him, according to Safwan, and it was recited by Isa bin Al-Mu’tamir at Ibn Ma’abad.

حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ الرَّحَبِيِّ عَنْ غُضَيْفِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ الثُّمَالِيِّ قَالَبَعَثَ إِلَيَّ عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ مَرْوَانَ فَقَالَ يَا أَبَا أَسْمَاءَ إِنَّا قَدْ أَجْمَعْنَا النَّاسَ عَلَى أَمْرَيْنِ قَالَ وَمَا هُمَا قَالَ رَفْعُ الْأَيْدِي عَلَى الْمَنَابِرِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَالْقَصَصُ بَعْدَ الصُّبْحِ وَالْعَصْرِ فَقَالَ أَمَا إِنَّهُمَا أَمْثَلُ بِدْعَتِكُمْ عِنْدِي وَلَسْتُ مُجِيبَكَ إِلَى شَيْءٍ مِنْهُمَا قَالَ لِمَ قَالَ لِأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَا أَحْدَثَ قَوْمٌ بِدْعَةً إِلَّا رُفِعَ مِثْلُهَا مِنْ السُّنَّةِ فَتَمَسُّكٌ بِسُنَّةٍ خَيْرٌ مِنْ إِحْدَاثِ بِدْعَةٍ

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ حَدَّثَنَا حَرِيزٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُرَحْبِيلُ ابْنُ شُفْعَةَ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُسَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ يُقَالُ لِلْوِلْدَانِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ادْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ قَالَ فَيَقُولُونَ يَا رَبِّ حَتَّى يَدْخُلَ آبَاؤُنَا وَأُمَّهَاتُنَا قَالَ فَيَأْتُونَ قَالَ فَيَقُولُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مَا لِي أَرَاهُمْ مُحْبَنْطِئِينَ ادْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ قَالَ فَيَقُولُونَ يَا رَبِّ آبَاؤُنَا وَأُمَّهَاتُنَا قَالَ فَيَقُولُ ادْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ أَنْتُمْ وَآبَاؤُكُمْ

Abu Al-Mughirah narrated to us, Hariz narrated to us, he said, Shurahbil Ibn Shaf’a narrated to us, on the authority of some of the companions of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, that he heard the Prophet May God’s prayers and peace be upon him. He said, “It will be said to the children on the Day of Resurrection, ‘Enter Paradise.’” He said, “And they will say, ‘O Lord,’ until our fathers and mothers enter.” He said So they come, he said, and God Almighty says, “What is wrong with me? I see them sad. Enter Paradise.” He said, and they say, “O Lord, our fathers and mothers.” He said He says, “Enter Paradise, you and your fathers.”

Hadith 16,358Musnad Ahmad

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ حَدَّثَنَا حَرِيزُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الرَّحَبِيُّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَامِرٍ الْأَلْهَانِيَّ قَالَدَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ حَابِسُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ الطَّائِيُّ مِنْ السَّحَرِ وَقَدْ أَدْرَكَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَرَأَى النَّاسَ يُصَلُّونَ فِي مُقَدَّمِ الْمَسْجِدِ فَقَالَ مُرَاءُونَ وَرَبِّ الْكَعْبَةِ أَرْعِبُوهُمْ فَمَنْ أَرْعَبَهُمْ فَقَدْ أَطَاعَ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَأَتَاهُمْ النَّاسُ فَأَخْرَجُوهُمْ قَالَ فَقَالَ إِنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ يُصَلُّونَ مِنْ السَّحَرِ فِي مُقَدَّمِ الْمَسْجِدِ

Abu Al-Mughirah narrated to us, Hariz bin Othman Al-Rahbi narrated to us, he said: I heard Abdullah bin Amir Al-Alahani saying: Habis bin Saad entered the mosque. Al-Ta’i is part of magic. The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, came and saw people praying in the front of the mosque, and he said, “Hypocrites, by the Lord of the Kaaba, have terrified them.” Whoever terrifies them has obeyed God and His Messenger, so the people came to them and drove them out. He said, “The angels pray at dawn in the front of the mosque.”

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ بَحْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حِمْيَرٍ الْحِمْصِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتُ بْنُ عَجْلَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا كَثِيرٍ الْمُحَارِبِيَّ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ خَرَشَةَ بْنَ الْحُرِّ يَقُولُسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ سَتَكُونُ مِنْ بَعْدِي فِتْنَةٌ النَّائِمُ فِيهَا خَيْرٌ مِنْ الْيَقْظَانِ وَالْقَاعِدُ فِيهَا خَيْرٌ مِنْ الْقَائِمِ وَالْقَائِمُ فِيهَا خَيْرٌ مِنْ السَّاعِي فَمَنْ أَتَتْ عَلَيْهِ فَلْيَمْشِ بِسَيْفِهِ إِلَى صَفَاةٍ فَلْيَضْرِبْهُ حَتَّى يَنْكَسِرَ ثُمَّ لِيَضْطَجِعَ لَهَا حَتَّى تَنْجَلِيَ عَمَّا انْجَلَيَتْ

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ أَبَا جُمُعَةَ حَبِيبَ بْنِ سِبَاعٍ وَكَانَ قَدْ أَدْرَكَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَامَ الْأَحْزَابِ صَلَّى الْمَغْرِبَ فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ قَالَ هَلْ عَلِمَ أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ أَنِّي صَلَّيْتُ الْعَصْرَ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا صَلَّيْتَهَا فَأَمَرَ الْمُؤَذِّنَ فَأَقَامَ الصَّلَاةَ فَصَلَّى الْعَصْرَ ثُمَّ أَعَادَ الْمَغْرِبَ

Musa bin Dawud narrated to us, saying: Ibn Lahi’ah narrated to us, on the authority of Yazid bin Abi Habib, on the authority of Muhammad bin Yazid, that Abdullah bin Awf narrated to him Abu Jumah Habib bin Siba’, and he had met the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him. حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَسِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي صَالِحٌ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو جُمُعَةَقَالَ تَغَدَّيْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَعَنَا أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ قَالَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَلْ أَحَدٌ خَيْرٌ مِنَّا أَسْلَمْنَا مَعَكَ وَجَاهَدْنَا مَعَكَ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَوْمٌ يَكُونُونَ مِنْ بَعْدِكُمْ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِي وَلَمْ يَرَوْنِي

Abu Al-Mughirah told us, he said Al-Awza’i told us, he said Asid bin Abdul Rahman told me, he said Saleh Abu Muhammad told me, he said, he told me Abu Jumah said: We had lunch with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and with us was Abu Ubaidah bin Al-Jarrah. He said: O Messenger of God, is anyone good? Some of us submitted to you and fought with you. He said, “Yes, there will be a people after you who will believe in me but have not seen me.”

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَسِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ دُرَيْكٍ عَنْ أَبِي مُحَيْرِيزٍ قَالَقُلْتُ لِأَبِي جُمُعَةَ رَجُلٍ مِنْ الصَّحَابَةِ حَدِّثْنَا حَدِيثًا سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ نَعَمْ أُحَدِّثُكُمْ حَدِيثًا جَيِّدًا تَغَدَّيْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَعَنَا أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَحَدٌ خَيْرٌ مِنَّا أَسْلَمْنَا مَعَكَ وَجَاهَدْنَا مَعَكَ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَوْمٌ يَكُونُونَ مِنْ بَعْدِكُمْ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِي وَلَمْ يَرَوْنِي

Abu Al-Mughirah told us, he said, Al-Awza’i told us, he said, Asid bin Abdul Rahman told me, on the authority of Khaled bin Duraik, on the authority of Abu Muhayriz, I said: By Abu Jumah, a man from the Companions, who told us a hadith that he heard from the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. He said, “Yes, I will tell you a good conversation. We had lunch with him.” The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and with us was Abu Ubaidah bin Al-Jarrah. He said, “O Messenger of God, is anyone better than us? We surrendered with you and fought with you.” He said: Yes, there will be people after you who will believe in me but have not seen me.

Hadith 16,364Musnad Ahmad

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْأَوْزَاعِيَّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي رَبِيعَةُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ وَاثِلَةَ بْنَ الْأَسْقَعِ يَقُولُخَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ أَتَزْعُمُونَ أَنِّي آخِرِكُمْ وَفَاةً أَلَا إِنِّي مِنْ أَوَّلِكُمْ وَفَاةً وَتَتْبَعُونِي أَفْنَادًا يُهْلِكُ بَعْضُكُمْ بَعْضًا

Abu Al-Mughirah narrated to us, saying: I heard Al-Awza’i, saying: Rabi’ah bin Yazid narrated to me, saying: I heard Wathilah bin Al-Asqa’ saying: He revolted against us. The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: Do you claim that I am the last of you in death? Indeed, I am among the first of you in death, and you follow me as groups, some of you destroying others.
