حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ بَابٍ عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَإِنَّ آخِرَ مَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي إِحْدَى يَدَيْهِ رُطَبَاتٌ وَفِي الْأُخْرَى قِثَّاءٌ وَهُوَ يَأْكُلُ مِنْ هَذِهِ وَيَعَضُّ مِنْ هَذِهِ وَقَالَ إِنَّ أَطْيَبَ الشَّاةِ لَحْمُ الظَّهْرِ

Nasr bin Bab told us, on the authority of Hajjaj, on the authority of Qatada, on the authority of Abdullah bin Ja’far, that he said, “The last time I saw the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.” He held fresh dates in one hand and cucumbers in the other, and he ate from this and took a bite from the other, and he said, “The best sheep is the meat of the back.”

حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ أَبِي يَعْقُوبَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَبَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَيْشًا اسْتَعْمَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ زَيْدَ بْنَ حَارِثَةَ وَقَالَ فَإِنْ قُتِلَ زَيْدٌ أَوْ اسْتُشْهِدَ فَأَمِيرُكُمْ جَعْفَرٌ فَإِنْ قُتِلَ أَوْ اسْتُشْهِدَ فَأَمِيرُكُمْ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ رَوَاحَةَ فَلَقُوا الْعَدُوَّ فَأَخَذَ الرَّايَةَ زَيْدٌ فَقَاتَلَ حَتَّى قُتِلَ ثُمَّ أَخَذَ الرَّايَةَ جَعْفَرٌ فَقَاتَلَ حَتَّى قُتِلَ ثُمَّ أَخَذَهَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ رَوَاحَةَ فَقَاتَلَ حَتَّى قُتِلَ ثُمَّ أَخَذَ الرَّايَةَ خَالِدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ فَفَتَحَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَأَتَى خَبَرُهُمْ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَخَرَجَ إِلَى النَّاسِ فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ وَقَالَ إِنَّ إِخْوَانَكُمْ لَقُوا الْعَدُوَّ وَإِنَّ زَيْدًا أَخَذَ الرَّايَةَ فَقَاتَلَ حَتَّى قُتِلَ أَوْ اسْتُشْهِدَ ثُمَّ أَخَذَ الرَّايَةَ بَعْدَهُ جَعْفَرُ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ فَقَاتَلَ حَتَّى قُتِلَ أَوْ اسْتُشْهِدَ ثُمَّ أَخَذَ الرَّايَةَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ رَوَاحَةَ فَقَاتَلَ حَتَّى قُتِلَ أَوْ اسْتُشْهِدَ ثُمَّ أَخَذَ الرَّايَةَ سَيْفٌ مِنْ سُيُوفِ اللَّهِ خَالِدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ فَفَتَحَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ فَأَمْهَلَ ثُمَّ أَمْهَلَ آلَ جَعْفَرٍ ثَلَاثًا أَنْ يَأْتِيَهُمْ ثُمَّ أَتَاهُمْ فَقَالَ لَا تَبْكُوا عَلَى أَخِي بَعْدَ الْيَوْمِ أَوْ غَدٍ ادْعُوا لِي ابْنَيْ أَخِي قَالَ فَجِيءَ بِنَا كَأَنَّا أَفْرُخٌ فَقَالَ ادْعُوا إِلَيَّ الْحَلَّاقَ فَجِيءَ بِالْحَلَّاقِ فَحَلَقَ رُءُوسَنَا ثُمَّ قَالَ أَمَّا مُحَمَّدٌ فَشَبِيهُ عَمِّنَا أَبِي طَالِبٍ وَأَمَّا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ فَشَبِيهُ خَلْقِي وَخُلُقِي ثُمَّ أَخَذَ بِيَدِي فَأَشَالَهَا فَقَالَ اللَّهُمَّ اخْلُفْ جَعْفَرًا فِي أَهْلِهِ وَبَارِكْ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ فِي صَفْقَةِ يَمِينِهِ قَالَهَا ثَلَاثَ مِرَارٍ قَالَ فَجَاءَتْ أُمُّنَا فَذَكَرَتْ لَهُ يُتْمَنَا وَجَعَلَتْ تُفْرِحُ لَهُ فَقَالَ الْعَيْلَةَ تَخَافِينَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَأَنَا وَلِيُّهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ

Wahb bin Jarir narrated to us, my father narrated to us, he said: I heard Muhammad bin Abi Ya’qub narrating on the authority of Al-Hasan bin Saad, on the authority of Abdullah bin Ja’far. The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, sent an army against them and appointed Zayd ibn Haritha against them, and said, “If Zayd is killed or martyred, then your commander is Ja’far.” If he is killed or martyred, then your commander is Abdullah bin Rawaha. They met the enemy, and Zaid took the banner and fought until he was killed, then Ja`far took the banner. He fought until he was killed, then Abdullah bin Rawaha took it, and he fought until he was killed, then Khalid bin Al-Walid took the banner, so God granted him victory and came. The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, informed them of them, and he went out to the people and thanked God and praised Him, saying, “Your brothers have met the enemy, and Zaid has taken The banner, so he fought until he was killed or martyred, then he took the banner after him. Jafar bin Abi Talib, and he fought until he was killed or martyred, then he took the banner. Abdullah bin Rawaha, and he fought until he was killed or martyred, then a sword from God’s swords was taken by Khalid bin Al-Walid, so God granted him victory and gave him a respite. Then the family of Ja`far gave three people to come to them. Then he came to them and said, “Do not cry for my brother after today or tomorrow. Call for my brother’s son for me.” He said, so he brought us. It was as if we were young. He said, “Call the barber to me.” The barber came and shaved our heads. Then he said, “As for Muhammad, he resembles our uncle Abu Talib, and as for Abdullah.” So he resembled my character and my character. Then he took my hand and twisted it and said, “O God, replace Ja’far in his family and bless Abdullah in the pledge of his oath.” He said it three times. He said, “Then our mother came and mentioned to him an orphan, and she began to rejoice for him. He said, ‘The family is afraid for them, and I am their guardian in this world.’” And the afterlife

حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُسَافِعٍ أَنَّ مُصْعَبَ بْنَ شَيْبَةَ أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ شَكَّ فِي صَلَاتِهِ فَلْيَسْجُدْ سَجْدَتَيْنِ بَعْدَمَا يُسَلِّمُحَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ أَنْبَأَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُسَافِعٍ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ بِإِسْنَادِهِ

Hajjaj told us, Ibn Jurayj said: Abdullah bin Musafa’ told me that Mus’ab bin Shaybah told him about Uqba bin Muhammad bin Al-Harith. On the authority of Abdullah bin Jaafar, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: Whoever doubts his prayer, let him prostrate two prostrations after the salutation. He told us Ali ibn Ishaq informed us, Abdullah ibn Jurayj informed us, Abdullah ibn Musafa’ informed us, on the authority of Uqba ibn Muhammad ibn al-Harith, and he mentioned Similar to it, with its chain of transmission

حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ أَبِي يَعْقُوبَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَرَكِبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَغْلَتَهُ وَأَرْدَفَنِي خَلْفَهُ وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا تَبَرَّزَ كَانَ أَحَبَّ مَا تَبَرَّزَ فِيهِ هَدَفٌ يَسْتَتِرُ بِهِ أَوْ حَائِشُ نَخْلٍ فَدَخَلَ حَائِطًا لِرَجُلٍ مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ فَإِذَا فِيهِ نَاضِحٌ لَهُ فَلَمَّا رَأَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَنَّ وَذَرَفَتْ عَيْنَاهُ فَنَزَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَمَسَحَ ذِفْرَاهُ وَسَرَاتَهُ فَسَكَنَ فَقَالَ مَنْ رَبُّ هَذَا الْجَمَلِ فَجَاءَ شَابٌّ مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ فَقَالَ أَنَا فَقَالَ أَلَا تَتَّقِي اللَّهَ فِي هَذِهِ الْبَهِيمَةِ الَّتِي مَلَّكَكَ اللَّهُ إِيَّاهَا فَإِنَّهُ شَكَاكَ إِلَيَّ وَزَعَمَ أَنَّكَ تُجِيعُهُ وَتُدْئِبُهُ ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْحَائِطِ فَقَضَى حَاجَتَهُ ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَ ثُمَّ جَاءَ وَالْمَاءُ يَقْطُرُ مِنْ لِحْيَتِهِ عَلَى صَدْرِهِ فَأَسَرَّ إِلَيَّ شَيْئًا لَا أُحَدِّثُ بِهِ أَحَدًا فَحَرَّجْنَا عَلَيْهِ أَنْ يُحَدِّثَنَا فَقَالَ لَا أُفْشِي عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سِرَّهُ حَتَّى أَلْقَى اللَّهَ

Wahb bin Jarir narrated to us, my father narrated to us, he said: I heard Muhammad bin Abi Ya’qub narrating on the authority of Al-Hasan bin Saad, on the authority of Abdullah bin Ja’far. The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, rode his mule and followed me behind him. Whenever the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, defecated, he loved Whenever a target protruded to cover it, or a branch of a palm tree, he entered the wall of a man from the Ansar, and lo, there was a watering hole for him in it. When he saw the Prophet, he prayed. May God bless him and grant him peace. He yearned and his eyes shed tears. Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, came down and wiped his backsides and navels, and he calmed down and said, “Who is the master of this camel?” Then a young man from the Ansar came and said, “I am.” Then he said, “Don’t you fear God regarding this animal that God has given you ownership of? He complained to me and claimed You starve him and discipline him. Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, went to the wall and relieved himself, then he performed ablution and then came while the water was dripping. From his beard on his chest, so he confided to me something that I would not tell anyone about, so we made it difficult for him to tell us, so he said, “I will not disclose it to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.” peace be upon him until he met God

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ قَالَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا سَجَدَ الرَّجُلُ سَجَدَ مَعَهُ سَبْعَةُ آرَابٍ وَجْهِهِ وَكَفَّيْهِ وَرُكْبَتَيْهِ وَقَدَمَيْهِحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْهَادِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِثْلِهِ

Abdul Rahman bin Mahdi told us, Abdullah bin Jafar told us, on the authority of Ismail bin Muhammad, on the authority of Amer bin Saad, on the authority of Abbas, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, when a man prostrated, seven Arabs prostrated with him, his face, his hands, his knees, and his feet. Abdul told us The Most Gracious, Abdullah bin Jaafar narrated to us, on the authority of Yazid bin Abdullah bin Al-Hadi, on the authority of Muhammad bin Ibrahim, on the authority of Amer bin Saad, on the authority of Abbas Ibn Abd al-Muttalib, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, with a similar example

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَكْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَاتِمٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي صَغِيرَةَ حَدَّثَنِي بَعْضُ بَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ قَالَ قَدِمَ عَلَيْنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي بَعْضِ تِلْكَ الْمَوَاسِمِ قَالَ فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ الْعَبَّاسِأَنَّهُ أَتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَنَا عَمُّكَ كَبِرَتْ سِنِّي وَاقْتَرَبَ أَجَلِي فَعَلِّمْنِي شَيْئًا يَنْفَعُنِي اللَّهُ بِهِ قَالَ يَا عَبَّاسُ أَنْتَ عَمِّي وَلَا أُغْنِي عَنْكَ مِنْ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا وَلَكِنْ سَلْ رَبَّكَ الْعَفْوَ وَالْعَافِيَةَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ قَالَهَا ثَلَاثًا ثُمَّ أَتَاهُ عِنْدَ قَرْنِ الْحَوْلِ فَقَالَ لَهُ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَحَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يُونُسَ الْقُشَيْرِيُّ حَاتِمُ بْنُ أَبِي صَغِيرَةَ حَدَّثَنِي رَجُلٌ مِنْ وَلَدِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ قَالَ قَدِمَ عَلَيْنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فَحَضَرَهُ بَنُو عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ قَالَ أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَنَا عَمُّكَ قَدْ كَبِرَتْ سِنِّي فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

Abdullah bin Bakr told us, Hatim, meaning Ibn Abi Saghirah, told us, some of Banu Abdul Muttalib told me, he said, Ali bin Abd came to us. God Ibn Abbas, in some of those seasons, said, “I heard him say: Abu Abdullah Ibn Abbas narrated to me on the authority of his father Abbas that he came to the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said, “O Messenger of God, I am your uncle. My age has grown and my end is approaching, so teach me something that God will benefit me with.” He said, “O Abbas, you?” My uncle, and I am of no use to you before God, but ask your Lord for pardon and well-being in this world and the hereafter. He said it three times, then it came to him at the age of the year. So he said to him like that: A spirit narrated to us: Abu Yunus al-Qushayri Hatim ibn Abi Saghirah narrated to us: A man from the descendants of Abdul Muttalib narrated to me. He said Ali bin Abdullah bin Abbas came to us and Banu Abd al-Muttalib attended him. He said, “I heard Abdullah bin Abbas speaking on the authority of his father Abbas.” Ibn Abdul Muttalib said, “I came to the Messenger of God and said, ‘O Messenger of God, I am your uncle. My years have grown.’” He mentioned its meaning.

حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ عَنْ عَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ قَالَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَلْ نَفَعْتَ أَبَا طَالِبٍ بِشَيْءٍ فَإِنَّهُ كَانَ يَحُوطُكَ وَيَغْضَبُ لَكَ قَالَ نَعَمْ هُوَ فِي ضَحْضَاحٍ مِنْ النَّارِ وَلَوْلَا ذَلِكَ لَكَانَ فِي الدَّرْكِ الْأَسْفَلِ مِنْ النَّارِ

Affan told us, Abu Awanah told us, Abd al-Malik ibn Umair told us, on the authority of Abdullah ibn al-Harith ibn Nawfal, on the authority of Abbas ibn Abd. Al-Muttalib said: I said, O Messenger of God, have you helped Abu Talib with anything, for he used to protect you and get angry with you? He said: Yes, he is in a state of Had it not been for that, he would have been in the lowest level of Hell.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَنْبَأَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ عَنْ عَمِّهِ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ حَدَّثَنِي سِمَاكُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمِيرَةَ عَنْ عَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ قَالَكُنَّا جُلُوسًا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْبَطْحَاءِ فَمَرَّتْ سَحَابَةٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَتَدْرُونَ مَا هَذَا قَالَ قُلْنَا السَّحَابُ قَالَ وَالْمُزْنُ قُلْنَا وَالْمُزْنُ قَالَ وَالْعَنَانُ قَالَ فَسَكَتْنَا فَقَالَ هَلْ تَدْرُونَ كَمْ بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ قَالَ قُلْنَا اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ قَالَ بَيْنَهُمَا مَسِيرَةُ خَمْسِ مِائَةِ سَنَةٍ وَمِنْ كُلِّ سَمَاءٍ إِلَى سَمَاءٍ مَسِيرَةُ خَمْسِ مِائَةِ سَنَةٍ وَكِثَفُ كُلِّ سَمَاءٍ مَسِيرَةُ خَمْسِ مِائَةِ سَنَةٍ وَفَوْقَ السَّمَاءِ السَّابِعَةِ بَحْرٌ بَيْنَ أَسْفَلِهِ وَأَعْلَاهُ كَمَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ ثُمَّ فَوْقَ ذَلِكَ ثَمَانِيَةُ أَوْعَالٍ بَيْنَ رُكَبِهِنَّ وَأَظْلَافِهِنَّ كَمَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ ثُمَّ فَوْقَ ذَلِكَ الْعَرْشُ بَيْنَ أَسْفَلِهِ وَأَعْلَاهُ كَمَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَاللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى فَوْقَ ذَلِكَ وَلَيْسَ يَخْفَى عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَعْمَالِ بَنِي آدَمَ شَيْءٌقَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ الْبَزَّارُ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي ثَوْرٍ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمِيرَةَ عَنِ الْأَحْنَفِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَحْوَهُ

Abdul Razzaq told us, Yahya bin Al-Ala told us, on the authority of his uncle Shuaib bin Khalid, Samak bin Harb told me, on the authority of Abdullah bin Amira. On the authority of Abbas bin Abdul Muttalib, he said: We were sitting with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, in Batha, then a cloud passed by, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said Peace and blessings of God be upon him. حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ أَخْبَرَنِي كَثِيرُ بْنُ عَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ الْعَبَّاسِ قَالَشَهِدْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حُنَيْنًا قَالَ فَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَا مَعَهُ إِلَّا أَنَا وَأَبُو سُفْيَانَ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ فَلَزِمْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَمْ نُفَارِقْهُ وَهُوَ عَلَى بَغْلَةٍ شَهْبَاءَ وَرُبَّمَا قَالَ مَعْمَرٌ بَيْضَاءَ أَهْدَاهَا لَهُ فَرْوَةُ بْنُ نَعَامَةَ الْجُذَامِيُّ فَلَمَّا الْتَقَى الْمُسْلِمُونَ وَالْكُفَّارُ وَلَّى الْمُسْلِمُونَ مُدْبِرِينَ وَطَفِقَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَرْكُضُ بَغْلَتَهُ قِبَلَ الْكُفَّارِ قَالَ الْعَبَّاسُ وَأَنَا آخِذٌ بِلِجَامِ بَغْلَةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَكُفُّهَا وَهُوَ لَا يَأْلُو مَا أَسْرَعَ نَحْوَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ وَأَبُو سُفْيَانَ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ آخِذٌ بِغَرْزِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَا عَبَّاسُ نَادِ يَا أَصْحَابَ السَّمُرَةِ قَالَ وَكُنْتُ رَجُلًا صَيِّتًا فَقُلْتُ بِأَعْلَى صَوْتِي أَيْنَ أَصْحَابُ السَّمُرَةِ قَالَ فَوَاللَّهِ لَكَأَنَّ عَطْفَتَهُمْ حِينَ سَمِعُوا صَوْتِي عَطْفَةُ الْبَقَرِ عَلَى أَوْلَادِهَا فَقَالُوا يَا لَبَّيْكَ يَا لَبَّيْكَ وَأَقْبَلَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ فَاقْتَتَلُوا هُمْ وَالْكُفَّارُ فَنَادَتْ الْأَنْصَارُ يَقُولُونَ يَا مَعْشَرَ الْأَنْصَارِ ثُمَّ قَصَّرَتْ الدَّاعُونَ عَلَى بَنِي الْحَارِثِ بْنِ الْخَزْرَجِ فَنَادَوْا يَا بَنِي الْحَارِثِ بْنِ الْخَزْرَجِ قَالَ فَنَظَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ عَلَى بَغْلَتِهِ كَالْمُتَطَاوِلِ عَلَيْهَا إِلَى قِتَالِهِمْ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هَذَا حِينَ حَمِيَ الْوَطِيسُ قَالَ ثُمَّ أَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَصَيَاتٍ فَرَمَى بِهِنَّ وُجُوهَ الْكُفَّارِ ثُمَّ قَالَ انْهَزَمُوا وَرَبِّ الْكَعْبَةِ انْهَزَمُوا وَرَبِّ الْكَعْبَةِ قَالَ فَذَهَبْتُ أَنْظُرُ فَإِذَا الْقِتَالُ عَلَى هَيْئَتِهِ فِيمَا أَرَى قَالَ فَوَاللَّهِ مَا هُوَ إِلَّا أَنْ رَمَاهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِحَصَيَاتِهِ فَمَا زِلْتُ أَرَى حَدَّهُمْ كَلِيلًا وَأَمْرَهُمْ مُدْبِرًا حَتَّى هَزَمَهُمْ اللَّهُ قَالَ وَكَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَرْكُضُ خَلْفَهُمْ عَلَى بَغْلَتِهِ

The Ansar say, “O Ansar.” Then the callers restricted themselves to Banu Al-Harith bin Al-Khazraj, so they called, “O Banu Al-Harith bin Al-Khazraj.” He said: Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, looked at their fight as he was on his mule, as if he was swaying over it. This was when the fighting became heated. He said, “Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, took pebbles and threw them in the faces of the infidels, then he said, ‘They are defeated.’” By the Lord of the Kaaba, they were defeated, and by the Lord of the Kaaba, he said, “So I went to look, and behold, the fighting is as it is in what I see.” He said, “By God, it is nothing but The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, pelted them with his pebbles, and I still saw them sharpening their edge and them turning back until God defeated them. He said, “It is as if I Look at the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, running after them on his mule.

حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍأَنَّهُ كَانَ رَدِيفَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ جَمْعٍ إِلَى مِنًى فَلَمْ يَزَلْ يُلَبِّي حَتَّى رَمَى الْجَمْرَةَ

Affan told us, Wahib told us, Abdullah bin Uthman bin Khathim told us, on the authority of Abu Tufayl, on the authority of Al-Fadl bin Abbas, that he was a companion of the Prophet May God’s prayers and peace be upon him from a crowd to Mina, and he did not continue to recite the Talbiyah until he stoned the Jamarat.
