And whoever is concerned about the world and his scattering and his waste, God will spread his waste upon him. And He makes his poverty before his eyes, then he never wakes up but is poor, and he never enters the evening except poor.

Saeed bin Amir told us on the authority of Hisham, the companion of Al-Dastawwi, who said: I read in a book and it informed me that from the words of Jesus: You work for the world while you You will be provided for sustenance therein without work, and you will not work for the Hereafter, and you will not be provided for therein except by work, and indeed you will receive knowledge of evil reward. And you are wasting your work. The master of the work is about to demand his work, and you are about to depart from the vast world into the darkness of the grave and the distress of God. He forbade you from sins just as He commanded you to pray and fast. How can he be among the people of knowledge if he is displeased with his provision and despises his status when he knows? This is from God’s knowledge and power. How can he be among the people of knowledge? He who accuses God of what He has decreed for him is not satisfied with anything that befalls him. How can he be among The people of knowledge whose worldly life is more preferable to him than the hereafter, while in this world his desire is better. How can he be among the people of knowledge? From his destination to... His hereafter as he is approaching his world, and what harms him is more desirable to him, or he said, more beloved to him than what benefits him. How can he be among the people of knowledge? He asks for words in order to tell them, but he does not ask for them to act on them.
