Sunan Ad-Darimi

أَخْبَرَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ إِنَّ هَذَا الْعِلْمَ دِينٌ فَلْيَنْظُرْ الرَّجُلُ عَمَّنْ يَأْخُذُ دِينَهُ

Affan told us, Hammad bin Zaid told us, on the authority of Ibn Aoun, on the authority of Muhammad, he said: This knowledge is religion, so let the man look from whom he takes his religion.

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ هُشَيْمٍ عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ كَانُوا إِذَا أَتَوْا الرَّجُلَ لِيَأْخُذُوا عَنْهُ نَظَرُوا إِلَى صَلَاتِهِ وَإِلَى سَمْتِهِ وَإِلَى هَيْئَتِهِ

Ismail bin Ibrahim told us on the authority of Hushaym, on the authority of Mughirah, on the authority of Ibrahim. He said, “When they came to a man to take something from him, they would look at His prayers, his character, and his appearance.

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ إِسْمَعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ الرَّازِيُّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ الرَّبِيعِ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ قَالَ كُنَّا نَأْتِي الرَّجُلَ لِنَأْخُذَ عَنْهُ فَنَنْظُرُ إِذَا صَلَّى فَإِنْ أَحْسَنَهَا جَلَسْنَا إِلَيْهِ وَقُلْنَا هُوَ لِغَيْرِهَا أَحْسَنُ وَإِنْ أَسَاءَهَا قُمْنَا عَنْهُ وَقُلْنَا هُوَ لِغَيْرِهَا أَسْوَأُ قَالَ أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ لَفْظُهُ نَحْوُ هَذَا

Abu Muammar Ismail ibn Ibrahim informed us, Abdullah ibn Abi Ja`far al-Razi informed us, on the authority of his father, on the authority of al-Rabi`, on the authority of Abu al-Aaliyah, he said We used to go to a man to take it from him and see if he prayed. If he did it well, we would sit with him and say, “It is better than anything else,” and if he did it badly, we would stand up. On his authority, and we said, “It is worse than anything else.” Abu Muammar said, his wording is similar to this.

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ قَالَ لَا أَدْرِي سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْهُ أَوْ لَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ إِنَّ هَذَا الْعِلْمَ دِينٌ فَانْظُرُوا عَمَّنْ تَأْخُذُونَ دِينَكُمْ

Abu Asim told us: I do not know whether I heard it from him or Ibn Aoun, on the authority of Muhammad: This knowledge is a religion, so be careful from whom you take it. Your religion

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حُجَيْرٍ عَنْ طَاوُسٍ قَالَ جَاءَ بُشَيْرُ بْنُ كَعْبٍ إِلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فَجَعَلَ يُحَدِّثُهُ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ أَعِدْ عَلَيَّ الْحَدِيثَ الْأَوَّلَ قَالَ لَهُ بُشَيْرٌ مَا أَدْرِي عَرَفْتَ حَدِيثِي كُلَّهُ وَأَنْكَرْتَ هَذَا أَوْ عَرَفْتَ هَذَا وَأَنْكَرْتَ حَدِيثِي كُلَّهُ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ إِنَّا كُنَّا نُحَدِّثُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذْ لَمْ يَكُنْ يُكْذَبُ عَلَيْهِ فَلَمَّا رَكِبَ النَّاسُ الصَّعْبَ وَالذَّلُولَ تَرَكْنَا الْحَدِيثَ عَنْهُ

Muhammad ibn Ahmad informed us, Sufyan informed us, on the authority of Hisham ibn Hujayr, on the authority of Tawus, who said: Bashir ibn Ka’b came to Ibn Abbas and made He was speaking to him, and Ibn Abbas said, “Repeat the first hadith to me.” Bashir said to him, “I do not know whether you knew all of my hadith and whether you denied this or knew this.” And you denied all of my narration, so Ibn Abbas said, “We were narrating on the authority of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, since he was not being lied to.” So when he rode Difficult and humiliating people we left talking about

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَعِيلُ بْنُ أَبَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنْ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ كُنَّا نَحْفَظُ الْحَدِيثَ وَالْحَدِيثُ يُحْفَظُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى رَكِبْتُمْ الصَّعْبَ وَالذَّلُولَ

Ismail bin Aban told us, saying: Abdullah bin Al-Mubarak told us, on the authority of Muammar, on the authority of Ibn Tawus, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Ibn Abbas, who said We used to memorize hadiths and hadiths were memorized from the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, until you experienced difficulty and humiliation.

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ لَيْثٍ عَنْ طَاوُسٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ يُوشِكُ أَنْ يَظْهَرَ شَيَاطِينُ قَدْ أَوْثَقَهَا سُلَيْمَانُ يُفَقِّهُونَ النَّاسَ فِي الدِّينِ

Muhammad ibn Yusuf informed us on the authority of Sufyan, on the authority of Laith, on the authority of Tawus, on the authority of Abdullah ibn Amr. He said, “Demons are about to appear, which he has bound.” Solomon made people understand religion

أَخْبَرَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ خَالِدٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ لِيُتَّقَى مِنْ تَفْسِيرِ حَدِيثِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَمَا يُتَّقَى مِنْ تَفْسِيرِ الْقُرْآنِ

Musa bin Khalid told us, Mu`tamar told us on the authority of his father, he said, to beware of the interpretation of the hadith of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, just as he is to beware of Interpretation of the Qur’an

أَخْبَرَنَا صَدَقَةُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ أَمَا تَخَافُونَ أَنْ تُعَذَّبُوا أَوْ يُخْسَفَ بِكُمْ أَنْ تَقُولُوا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ وَقَالَ فُلَانٌ

Sadaqa bin Al-Fadl told us, Mu’tamar told us on the authority of his father, he said, Ibn Abbas said, “Are you not afraid that you will be tortured or that you will be deceived if you say something?” The Messenger of God said, and so-and-so said

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعَافَى عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ قَالَ كَتَبَ عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ إِنَّهُ لَا رَأْيَ لِأَحَدٍ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ وَإِنَّمَا رَأْيُ الْأَئِمَّةِ فِيمَا لَمْ يَنْزِلْ فِيهِ كِتَابٌ وَلَمْ تَمْضِ بِهِ سُنَّةٌ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَلَا رَأْيَ لِأَحَدٍ فِي سُنَّةٍ سَنَّهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

Al-Hasan Ibn Bishr informed us, Al-Mu’affa told us, on the authority of Al-Awza’i, he said: Omar Ibn Abdul-Aziz wrote that no one has an opinion in the Book of God. But it is the opinion of the imams about what no book was revealed about and no sunnah was passed by the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and no one has an opinion regarding a sunnah. It was enacted by the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ خَالِدٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ خَطَبَ فَقَالَ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَمْ يَبْعَثْ بَعْدَ نَبِيِّكُمْ نَبِيًّا وَلَمْ يُنْزِلْ بَعْدَ هَذَا الْكِتَابِ الَّذِي أَنْزَلَ عَلَيْهِ كِتَابًا فَمَا أَحَلَّ اللَّهُ عَلَى لِسَانِ نَبِيِّهِ فَهُوَ حَلَالٌ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ وَمَا حَرَّمَ عَلَى لِسَانِ نَبِيِّهِ فَهُوَ حَرَامٌ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ أَلَا وَإِنِّي لَسْتُ بِقَاصٍّ وَلَكِنِّي مُنَفِّذٌ وَلَسْتُ بِمُبْتَدِعٍ وَلَكِنِّي مُتَّبِعٌ وَلَسْتُ بِخَيْرٍ مِنْكُمْ غَيْرَ أَنِّي أَثْقَلُكُمْ حِمْلًا أَلَا وَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ لِأَحَدٍ مِنْ خَلْقِ اللَّهِ أَنْ يُطَاعَ فِي مَعْصِيَةِ اللَّهِ أَلَا هَلْ أَسْمَعْتُ

Musa bin Khalid told us, Mu’tamar bin Sulaiman told us, on the authority of Ubayd Allah bin Omar, that Omar bin Abdul Aziz gave a speech and said, “O people! God has not sent a prophet after your Prophet, nor has He sent down after this book which He revealed to him, so whatever God has made lawful on the tongue of His Prophet is lawful. Until the Day of Resurrection, and what was forbidden by his Prophet is forbidden until the Day of Resurrection. Indeed, I am not a storyteller, but I am an implementer and not an innovator. But I am a follower and I am not better than you except that I am the heaviest burden for you. Indeed, it is not for anyone of God’s creation to be obeyed in disobedience to God. I heard

أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حُجَيْرٍ قَالَ كَانَ طَاوُسٌ يُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ فَقَالَ لَهُ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ اتْرُكْهُمَا قَالَ إِنَّمَا نُهِيَ عَنْهَا أَنْ تُتَّخَذُ سُلَّمًا قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ فَإِنَّهُ قَدْ نُهِيَ عَنْ صَلَاةٍ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ فَلَا أَدْرِي أَتُعَذَّبُ عَلَيْهَا أَمْ تُؤْجَرُ لِأَنَّ اللَّهَ يَقُولُ { وَمَا كَانَ لِمُؤْمِنٍ وَلَا مُؤْمِنَةٍ إِذَا قَضَى اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَمْرًا أَنْ يَكُونَ لَهُمْ الْخِيَرَةُ مِنْ أَمْرِهِمْ } قَالَ سُفْيَانُ تُتَّخَذَ سُلَّمًا يَقُولُ يُصَلِّي بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ إِلَى اللَّيْلِ

Ubayd Allah bin Saeed told us, Sufyan bin Uyaynah told us, on the authority of Hisham bin Hujayr, he said: Tawoos was praying two rak’ahs after the afternoon prayer, so he said To him, Ibn Abbas said, “Leave them.” He said, “It was only forbidden to take a ladder.” Ibn Abbas said, “It was forbidden to pray after the afternoon prayer, so I do not know.” Will she be punished or will she be rewarded, because God says: “It is not for a believing man or a believing woman, when God and His Messenger have decided a matter, that they should have any choice.” From their matter. Sufyan said, “You should take a ladder.” He said, “He prays after the afternoon prayer until the night.”

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ عَنْ عَامِرٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ أَتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِنُسْخَةٍ مِنْ التَّوْرَاةِ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَذِهِ نُسْخَةٌ مِنْ التَّوْرَاةِ فَسَكَتَ فَجَعَلَ يَقْرَأُ وَوَجْهُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ يَتَغَيَّرُ فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ ثَكِلَتْكَ الثَّوَاكِلُ مَا تَرَى مَا بِوَجْهِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَنَظَرَ عُمَرُ إِلَى وَجْهِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنْ غَضَبِ اللَّهِ وَغَضَبِ رَسُولِهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَضِينَا بِاللَّهِ رَبًّا وَبِالْإِسْلَامِ دِينًا وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ نَبِيًّا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَوْ بَدَا لَكُمْ مُوسَى فَاتَّبَعْتُمُوهُ وَتَرَكْتُمُونِي لَضَلَلْتُمْ عَنْ سَوَاءِ السَّبِيلِ وَلَوْ كَانَ حَيًّا وَأَدْرَكَ نُبُوَّتِي لَاتَّبَعَنِي

Muhammad Ibn Al-Ala informed us, Ibn Numayr informed us, on the authority of Mujalid, on the authority of Amir, on the authority of Jabir, that Omar Ibn Al-Khattab came to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. He was greeted with a copy of the Torah and said, O Messenger of God, this is a copy of the Torah. Then he remained silent and began to read, and the face of the Messenger of God changed, so he said Abu Bakr, the burdens have bereaved you. You have not seen the face of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. Then Omar looked at the face of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. And he said, “I seek refuge in God from the wrath of God and the wrath of His Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace. We are satisfied with God as our Lord, with Islam as our religion, and with Muhammad.” A prophet, and the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said, “By the One in whose hand is Muhammad’s soul, if Moses appeared to you and you followed him and abandoned me, you would have gone astray from all directions.” The path, and if he were alive and realized my prophecy, he would follow me

حَدَّثَنَا قَبِيصَةُ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ شَيْخٌ مِنْ آلِ عُمَرَ قَالَ رَأَى سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيَّبِ رَجُلًا يُصَلِّي بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ يُكْثِرُ فَقَالَ لَهُ فَقَالَ يَا أَبَا مُحَمَّدٍ أَيُعَذِّبُنِي اللَّهُ عَلَى الصَّلَاةِ قَالَ لَا وَلَكِنْ يُعَذِّبُكَ اللَّهُ بِخِلَافِ السُّنَّةِ

Qubaisa told us: Sufyan told us on the authority of Abu Rabah, a sheikh from the family of Omar, who said: Sa`id ibn al-Musayyab saw a man praying two rak’ahs after the afternoon prayer. He said to him, and he said, “O Abu Muhammad, will God punish me for praying?” He said, “No, but God will punish you for contradicting the Sunnah.”

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ الْعَجْلَانِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ بَيْنَمَا رَجُلٌ يَتَبَخْتَرُ فِي بُرْدَيْنِ خَسَفَ اللَّهُ بِهِ الْأَرْضَ فَهُوَ يَتَجَلْجَلُ فِيهَا إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ فَقَالَ لَهُ فَتًى قَدْ سَمَّاهُ وَهُوَ فِي حُلَّةٍ لَهُ يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ أَهَكَذَا كَانَ يَمْشِي ذَلِكَ الْفَتَى الَّذِي خُسِفَ بِهِ ثُمَّ ضَرَبَ بِيَدِهِ فَعَثَرَ عَثْرَةً كَادَ يَتَكَسَّرُ مِنْهَا فَقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ لِلْمَنْخَرَيْنِ وَلِلْفَمِ { إِنَّا كَفَيْنَاكَ الْمُسْتَهْزِئِينَ }

Abdullah bin Saleh told us: Al-Layth told me, Ibn Ajlan told me, on the authority of Al-Ajlan, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, on the authority of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. He said: While a man was strutting in Burdin, God caused the earth to swallow him, and he was rolling in it until the Day of Resurrection. A young man whom he named said to him: And he was in his robe, O Abu Hurairah, is this how that boy who was knocked down used to walk, then he hit his hand and made a stumble that was almost broken? From it, Abu Hurairah said to the nostrils and the mouth, “We have sufficed with the mockers.”

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ هُوَ ابْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي قَيْسٍ عَنْ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ عَنْ خِرَاشِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَتًى يَخْذِفُ فَقَالَ لَهُ شَيْخٌ لَا تَخْذِفْ فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ الْخَذْفِ فَغَفَلَ الْفَتَى وَظَنَّ أَنَّ الشَّيْخَ لَا يَفْطِنُ لَهُ فَخَذَفَ فَقَالَ لَهُ الشَّيْخُ أُحَدِّثُكَ أَنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَنْهَى عَنْ الْخَذْفِ ثُمَّ تَخْذِفُ وَاللَّهِ لَا أَشْهَدُ لَكَ جَنَازَةً وَلَا أَعُودُكَ فِي مَرَضٍ وَلَا أُكَلِّمُكَ أَبَدًا فَقُلْتُ لِصَاحِبٍ لِي يُقَالُ لَهُ مُهَاجِرٌ انْطَلِقْ إِلَى خِرَاشٍ فَاسْأَلْهُ فَأَتَاهُ فَسَأَلَهُ عَنْهُ فَحَدَّثَهُ

Muhammad bin Humayd informed us: Harun told us, he is Ibn al-Mughirah, on the authority of Amr bin Abi Qais, on the authority of al-Zubayr bin Adi, on the authority of Kharash bin Jubayr. He said: I saw in the mosque a young man scratching, and an old man said to him: Do not scratch, for I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, forbidding cutting, so he neglected. The young man thought that the sheikh would not understand him, so he was distracted, and the sheikh said to him: I will tell you that I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, forbidding Hidden, then you are hidden. By God, I will not attend your funeral, nor will I visit you when you are sick, nor will I ever speak to you. So I said to a friend of mine who is called an immigrant, go to Kharash, so he asked him. He came to him, asked him about it, and he told him.

أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الْخَذْفِ وَقَالَ إِنَّهَا لَا تَصْطَادُ صَيْدًا وَلَا تَنْكِي عَدُوًّا وَلَكِنَّهَا تَكْسِرُ السِّنَّ وَتَفْقَأُ الْعَيْنَ فَرَفَعَ رَجُلٌ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ سَعِيدٍ قَرَابَةٌ شَيْئًا مِنْ الْأَرْضِ فَقَالَ هَذِهِ وَمَا تَكُونُ هَذِهِ فَقَالَ سَعِيدٌ أَلَا أُرَانِي أُحَدِّثُكَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثُمَّ تَهَاوَنُ بِهِ لَا أُكَلِّمُكَ أَبَدًا

Suleiman bin Harb told us, Hammad bin Zaid told us, on the authority of Ayyub, on the authority of Sa’id bin Jubayr, on the authority of Abdullah bin Mughaffal. He said: The Messenger of God forbade May God’s prayers and peace be upon him, about cutting, and he said: It does not hunt game, nor does it attack an enemy, but it breaks a tooth and gouges out an eye, so a man lifted his eye. And Sa’eed showed something close to the ground, and he said, “This is what this is.” Sa’id said, “Don’t you see me telling you about the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace?” Then you ignore it and I will never speak to you again.

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ حَدَّثَنَا كَهْمَسُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ قَالَ رَأَى عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُغَفَّلٍ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ يَخْذِفُ فَقَالَ لَا تَخْذِفْ فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَنْهَى عَنْ الْخَذْفِ وَكَانَ يَكْرَهُهُ وَإِنَّهُ لَا يُنْكَأُ بِهِ عَدُوٌّ وَلَا يُصَادُ بِهِ صَيْدٌ وَلَكِنَّهُ قَدْ يَفْقَأُ الْعَيْنَ وَيَكْسِرُ السِّنَّ ثُمَّ رَآهُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ يَخْذِفُ فَقَالَ لَهُ أَلَمْ أُخْبِرْكَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَنْهَى عَنْهُ ثُمَّ أَرَاكَ تَخْذِفُ وَاللَّهِ لَا أُكَلِّمُكَ أَبَدًا

Abdullah bin Yazid told us, Khams bin Al-Hasan told us, on the authority of Abdullah bin Buraidah, he said: Abdullah bin Mughaffal saw a man from His companions used to cheat, so he said, “Do not cheat, for the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to forbid cheating, but he hated it, and he did not It can be attacked by an enemy and no game can be caught with it, but it can gouge out an eye or break a tooth. Then after that he saw him being taken away and said to him: Did I not tell you? The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to forbid it, and then I saw you cheating, and by God, I will never speak to you again.

أَخْبَرَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَ ابْنُ سِيرِينَ رَجُلًا بِحَدِيثٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ قَالَ فُلَانٌ كَذَا وَكَذَا فَقَالَ ابْنُ سِيرِينَ أُحَدِّثُكَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَتَقُولُ قَالَ فُلَانٌ لَا أُكَلِّمُكَ أَبَدًا

Marwan bin Muhammad told us, Sa`id bin Bashir told us, on the authority of Qatada. He said, Ibn Sirin told a man with a hadith on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. Then a man said: So-and-so said such-and-such, and Ibn Sirin said: I will tell you about the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and you say: So-and-so said: I will never speak to you.

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا اسْتَأْذَنَتْ أَحَدَكُمْ امْرَأَتُهُ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ فَلَا يَمْنَعْهَا فَقَالَ فُلَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ إِذًا وَاللَّهِ أَمْنَعُهَا فَأَقْبَلَ عَلَيْهِ ابْنُ عُمَرَ فَشَتَمَهُ شَتِيمَةً لَمْ أَرَهُ يَشْتِمُهَا أَحَدًا قَبْلَهُ قَطُّ ثُمَّ قَالَ أُحَدِّثُكَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَتَقُولُ إِذًا وَاللَّهِ أَمْنَعُهَا

Muhammad bin Kathir informed us, on the authority of Al-Awza’i, on the authority of Al-Zuhri, on the authority of Salim, on the authority of Ibn Umar, that the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: If One of you asked his wife for permission to go to the mosque, but he did not prevent her. So-and-so bin Abdullah said, “Then, by God, I will prevent her.” So Ibn Umar approached him. So he insulted him with an insult that I had never seen him insult anyone before him, then he said, “I am telling you about the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace,” and you said, “Then, by God.” I prevent it
