Welcome to the study of authentic hadith selected by ULYAH. Let's look at some of the following sayings of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, one by one, with an open heart to put them into practice. 1st Hadith. God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. فَقَالُوا مَنْ يُكَلِّمُ فِيهَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ or وسلم قَالُوا وَمَنْ يَجْتَرِئُ عَلَيْهِ إِلاَّ أُسَامَةُ بْنُ may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings God willing, God willing, God willing أَتَشْفَعُ فِي حَدٍّ مِنْ حُدُودِ اللَّهِ ‏"‏ ‏." فَخَطَبَ فَقَالَ ‏"‏ إِنَّمَا هَلَكَ الَّذِينَ قَبْلَكُمْ God willing وَإِذَا سَرَقَ فِيهِمُ الضَّعِيفُ أَقَامُوا عَلَيْهِ الْحَدَّ وَايْمُ اللَّهِ لَوْ أَنَّ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتَ مُحَمَِ لَقَطَعْتُ يَدَهَا ‏"‏ ‏.‏. Having preached to us [Qutaibah], he said; has told us [Al Laits] from [Ibn Shihab] from ['Urwah] from [Aisyah] that the Quraish people were preoccupied with the case of Makhzum women who stole, then they said; "Who will speak to the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam?" People say; "No one dared except Usamah bin Zaid, the person whom Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam loved." Then Usamah spoke to him. Then Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Are you going to provide assistance in matters of the hadds among the hades of Allah?" then he stood up and delivered a sermon, he said: "Indeed, those before you perished because if there was a noble person among them who stole, they tolerated it, while if there was a weak person among them who stole, they imposed punishment on him. By Allah, if Fatima bint Muhammad steals, I will definitely cut off her hand (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 4899.) 2nd hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرْ God bless you عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنْ God bless you مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ سَرَقَتِ God willing God willing فِيهَا قَالُوا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ‏.‏ فَأَتَاهُ فَكَلَّمَهُ فَزَبَرَهُ وَقَالَ ‏ "‏ إِنَّ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ كَانُوا إِذَا سَرَقَ فِيهِمُ الشَّرِيفُ تَرَكُوهُ وَإِذَا God bless you "‏"‏ ‏.‏. Having preached to us [Abu Bakr bin Ishaq], he said; has told us [Abu Al Jawwab], he said; has told us ['Ammar bin Ruzaiq] from [Muhammad bin Abdur Rahman bin Abu Laila] from [Isma'il bin Umayyah] from [Muhammad bin Muslim] from ['Urwah] from [Aisyah], he said; "There was a woman from the Quraysh tribe from Bani Makhzum who stole and was confronted by the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, then they said: "Who spoke to him about it? Others say; "Osama bin Zaid." Then Usamah came and spoke to him. Then he rebuked him and said: "Indeed, the Bani Isroil, if a noble person among them steals, they allow it, but if a lowly person among them steals, they enforce punishment on him. By Allah, if Fatima bint Muhammad stole, I would definitely cut off her hand (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 4900.) 3rd Hadith. Allah's blessings مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ أَعْيَنَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنْ God willing God willing فِيهَا قَالُوا مَنْ يَجْتَرِئُ عَلَيْهِ إِلاَّ أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ حِبُّ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏.‏ may Allah bless him and give him peace وسلم ‏ "‏ إِنَّمَا هَلَكَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا إِذَا سَرَقَ فِيهِمُ الشَّرِيفُ تَرَكُوهُ وَإِذَا may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings God bless you يَدَهَا ‏"‏ ‏.‏. Having preached to us [Muhammad bin Jabalah], he said; has told us [Muhammad bin Musa bin A'yan], he said; has told us [my father] from [Ishaq bin Rasyid] from [Az Zuhri] from ['Urwah] from [Aisyah] that the Quraish people were preoccupied with the case of Makhzum women who stole, then they said; "Who will speak to the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam?" Other people say; "No one dared except Usamah bin Zaid, the man who was loved by Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam." Then Usamah spoke to him. Then the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: 'Indeed, those before you perished because if there was a noble person among them who stole, they tolerated it, while if there was a weak person among them who stole, they imposed punishment on him. By Allah, if Fatima bint Muhammad steals, I will definitely cut off her hands (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 4901.) 4th Hadith. God bless you ‏ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. may Allah bless him and give him peace God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing أَقَامُوا عَلَيْهِ الْحَدَّ ‏"‏ ‏." نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَوْ أَنَّ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتَ مُحَمَّدٍ سَرَقَتْ قَطَعْتُ يَدَهَا ‏"‏ ‏.‏. Has preached to us [Al Harith bin Miskin] by reading the history and I heard, from [Ibn Wahb], he said; [Yunus] had told me from [Ibn Shihab] that [Urwah bin Az Zubair] had told him from [Aisyah] that a woman stole at the time of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam during the war of conquest of Mecca. Then he was presented to the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam. Then Usamah bin Zaid spoke to him about the woman. After Usamah spoke, the face of Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam changed and he said: "Will you provide assistance in the matter of punishment among Allah's punishments?" Usamah said; "Ask forgiveness for me, O Messenger of Allah!" Then in the afternoon Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam stood up and praised Allah 'azza wajalla with the praise that is His right and then said: "Indeed, those before you perished because if there was a noble person among them who stole, they allowed it, while if a weak person among them stole, they imposed punishment on him. By Allah, if Fatima bint Muhammad steals, I will definitely cut off her hand (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 4902.) 5th Hadith. God willing God bless you God willing اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي غَزْوَةِ الْفَتْحِ - مُرْسَلٌ - فَفَزِعَ قَوْمُهَا إِلَى أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ يَسْتَشْفِعُونَهُ - قَالَ عُرْوَةُ - فَلَمَّا كَلَّمَهُ God willing God willing اللَّهِ ‏"‏ ‏." God willing ‏.‏ God God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing أَقَامُوا عَلَيْهْ God willing لَقَطَعْتُ يَدَهَا ‏"‏ ‏.‏ ثُمَّ أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God God bless you. God bless you God willing إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏.‏. Having preached to us [Suwaid], he said; has preached to us [Abdullah] from [Yunus] from [Az Zuhri], he said; It was reported to me ['Urwah bin Az Zubair] that a woman at the time of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam stole during the war to conquer Mecca, then her people came to Usamah bin Zaid asking for help from him. Urwah said; "Then when Usamah spoke to him about this woman, the face of Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam changed and he said: "Are you inviting me to talk about punishment among Allah's punishments?" Usamah said; "Ask forgiveness for me, O Messenger of Allah! Then in the afternoon the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam stood up and delivered a sermon, he praised Allah with the praise that is His right. Then he said: "As for what follows, in fact those before you perished because if there was a noble person among them who stole, they tolerated it and if there was a weak person among them who stole, they enforced punishment on him. By the One, in Whose hand Muhammad's soul is, if Fatima bint Muhammad stole, I would definitely cut off her hand." Then Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam ordered that the woman's hands be cut off. Then after that he corrected his repentance. [Aisyah radiallahu 'anha] said; "After that he came to me and I reported his needs to Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 4903.) 6th Hadith. God bless you God willing God bless you God bless you قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ "‏ حَدٌّ يُعْمَلُ فِي God willing ثَلاَثِينَ صَبَاحًا ‏"‏ ‏.‏. Having preached to us [Suwaid bin Nasr], he said; has preached to us [Abdullah] from [Isa bin Yazid], he said; has told me [Jarir bin Yazid] that he heard [Abu Zur'ah bin 'Amr bin Jarir] tell that he heard [Abu Hurairah] say; "The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "The punishment that is carried out in the world is better for the inhabitants of the earth than having them rained down for thirty days every morning (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 4904.) 7th Hadith. Allah's blessings God willing God willing هُرَيْرَةَ إِقَامَةُ حَدٍّ بِأَرْضٍ خَيْرٌ لأَهْلِهَا مِنْ مَطَرِ أَرْبَعِينَ لَيْلَةً ‏.‏. Has preached to us ['Amr bin Zurarah], he said; has preached to us [Isma'il], he said; has told us [Yunus bin 'Ubaid] from [Jarir bin Yazid] from [Abu Zur'ah], he said; [Abu Hurairah] said; "Enforcing punishment on earth is better for its inhabitants than raining for forty nights (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 4905.) 8th Hadith. God willing مَخْلَدٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَنْظَلَةُ، قَالَ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing يَقُولُ قَطَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي مِجَنٍّ قِيمَتُهُ خَمْسَةُ دَرَاهِمَ ‏.‏ كَذَا قَالَ ‏.‏. Having preached to us [Abdul Hamid bin Muhammad], he said; has told us [Makhlad], he said; has told us [Hanzhalah], he said; "I heard [Nafi'] say; "I heard [Abdullah bin Umar] say; "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) cut off the hand of a thief who stole a shield that cost five dirhams." That's what he said (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 4906.) 9th Hadith. Allah's blessings may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings حَدَّثَهُمْ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهْ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing الصَّوَابُ ‏.‏. Having preached to us [Yunus bin Abdul A'la], he said; has told us [Ibn Wahb], he said; has told us [Hanzhalah] that [Nafi'] told them that [Abdullah bin Umar] said; "The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam cut off his hand for stealing a shield that cost three dirhams." Abu Abdur Rahman said; "This is the truth (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 4907.) 10th Hadith. God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing فِي مِجَنٍّ ثَمَنُهُ ثَلاَثَةُ دَرَاهِمَ ‏.‏. It has been reported to us [Qutaibah] from [Malik] from [Nafi'] from [Ibn Umar] that Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam cut off the hand of a thief with a shield that cost three dirhams (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 4908.) 11th Hadith. Allah's blessings God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. أُمَيَّةَ، أَنَِ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing يَدَ سَارِقٍ سَرَقَ تُرْسًا مِنْ صُفَِ ثَلاَثَةُ دَرَاهِمَ ‏.‏. Having preached to us [Yusuf bin Sa'id], he said; has told us [Hajjaj] from [Ibn Juraij], he said; has told me [Isma'il bin Umayyah] that [Nafi'] had told him that [Abdullah bin Umar] had told him that the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam cut off the hand of a thief who stole a shield from a woman's shelf which cost three dirhams (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 4909.) 12th Hadith. God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ God willing وَمُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ God willing ثَلاَثَةُ دَرَاهِمَ ‏.‏. Having preached to me [Muhammad bin Isma'il bin Ibrahim], he said; has told us [Abu Nu'aim] from [Sufyan] from [Ayyub] and [Isma'il bin Umayyah] and [Abdullah] and [Musa bin 'Uqbah] from [Nafi'] from [Ibn Umar] that the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam cut off the hand of a thief who stole a shield that cost three dirhams (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 4910.) 13th Hadith. God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing God bless you may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings الرَّحْمَنِ هَذَا خَطَأٌ ‏.‏. Having preached to us [Abdullah bin Ash Shabbah], he said; has told us [Abu Ali Al Hanafi], he said; has told us [Hisyam] from [Qatadah] from [Anas bin Malik] that Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam cut off the hand of a shield thief. Abu Abdurrahman said; "This hadith is wrong (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 4911.) 14th Hadith. Allah's blessings may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. ‏.‏ هَذَا الصَّوَابُ ‏.‏. Having preached to us [Ahmad bin Nashr], he said; has told us [Abdullah bin Al Walid], he said; has told us [Sufyan] from [Syu'bah] from [Qatadah] from [Anas], he said; Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, cut off the hand of a thief whose shield cost five dirhams. This is the correct one (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 4912.) 15th Hadith. God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing بَكْرٍ فَقُوِّمَ خَمْسَةَ دَرَاهِمَ فَقُطِعَ ‏.‏. Has preached to us [Muhammad bin Al Mutsanna] from [Abu Daud], he said; has narrated to us [Shu'bah] from [Qatadah], he said; "I heard [Anas] say; "A man stole a shield in the time of Abu Bakr, then it was valued at five dirhams. So the thief's hand was cut off (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 4913.) 16th Hadith. God willing سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ حَفْصْ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي رُبُعِ دِينَارٍ ‏.‏. Having preached to us [Qutaibah], he said; has told us [Ja'far bin Sulaiman] from [Hafsh bin Hassan] from [Az Zuhri] from ['Urwah] from [Aisyah radliallahu 'anha]; "Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam cut off the hand of a thief of goods worth four dinars (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 4914.) 17th Hadith. God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings God bless you God willing وسلم ‏ "‏ تُقْطَعُ يَدُ السَّارِقِ فِي رُبُعِ دِينَارٍ ‏"‏ ‏.‏. Having preached to us [Muhammad bin Hatim], he said; has reported to us [Hibban bin Musa], he said; has told us [Abdullah] from [Yunus] from [Az Zuhri], he said; has said ['Amrah] from [Aisyah radliallahu 'anha] from Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam; cut off the hand of a thief of goods worth a quarter of a dinar (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 4916.) 18th Hadith. God bless you God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ "‏ فِي رُبُعِ دِينَارٍ فَصَاعِدًا ‏"‏ ‏.‏. Has said [Al Harith bin Miskin] by reading the history and I heard, from [Ibnu Wahb] from [Yunus] from [Ibn Shihab] from ['Urwah] and ['Amrah] from [Aisyah] that the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Cut off the hands of thieves who steal goods worth a quarter of a dinar and above (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 4917.) 19th hadith. God bless you God willing عَنْ عَمْرَةَ، عَنْ or وسلم قَالَ ‏ "‏ تُقْطَعُ يَدُ السَّارِقِ فِي رُبُعِ دِينَارٍ فَصَاعِدًا ‏"‏ ‏.‏. Having preached to us [Al Hasan bin Muhammad], he said; has told us [Abdul Wahhab] from [Sa'id] from [Ma'mar] from [Az Zuhri] from ['Amrah] from [Aisyah] from the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, he said: "Cut off the hand of a thief who steals goods worth a quarter of a dinar and above (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 4918.) 20th hadith. God bless you God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing فَصَاعِدًا ‏.‏. Having preached to us [Suwaid bin Nasr], he said; has reported to us [Abdullah] from [Ma'mar] from [Ibn Shihab] from ['Amrah] from [Aisyah], he said; "Cut off the hand of a thief something worth a quarter of a dinar and above (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 4920.) 21st Hadith. God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing وسلم - قَالَ قُتَيْبَةُ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم - يَقْطَعُ فِي رُبُعِ دِينَارٍ فَصَاعِدًا ‏.‏. Having preached to us [Ishaq bin Ibrahim] and [Qutaibah bin Sa'id] from [Sufyan] from [Az Zuhri] from ['Amrah] from [Aisyah], he said; "The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said, Qutaibah said; "The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam cut off the hand of a thief of goods worth a quarter of a dinar and above (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 4921.) 22nd Hadith. God bless you God bless you God willing عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ "‏ تُقْطَعُ يَدُ السَّارِقِ فِي رُبُعِ دِينَارٍ فَصَاعِدًا "" ‏.‏. Having preached to me [Yazid bin Muhammad bin Fudhail], he said; has reported to us [Muslim bin Ibrahim], he said; has told us [Aban], he said; has told us [Yahya bin Sa'id] from ['Amrah] from [Aisyah] that the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Cut off the hand of a thief something worth a quarter of a dinar and above (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 4923.) 23rd Hadith. God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing فَصَاعِدًا ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ هَذَا الصَّوَابُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ يَحْيَى ‏.‏. Having preached to us [Suwaid bin Nasr], he said; has reported to us [Abdullah] from [Yahya bin Sa'id] from ['Amrah] that he heard [Aisha] say; "Cut off the hand of a thief something worth a quarter of a dinar and above." Abu Abdur Rahman said; "This is the true one from Yahya's hadith (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 4924.) 24th Hadith. God bless you God willing God bless you ‏.‏. Has preached to us [Muhammad bin Al 'Ala`], he said; has told us [Ibn Idris] from [Yahya bin Sa'id] from ['Amrah] from [Aisyah], he said; "(The law) for cutting the hand is at a quarter of a dinar and above (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 4925.) 25th Hadith. God bless you Allah's blessings God willing, God willing, God willing, God قَالَتْ مَا طَالَ عَلَىَّ وَلاَ نَسِيتُ الْقَطْعُ فِي رُبُعِ دِينَارٍ فَصَاعِدًا ‏.‏. [Al Haris bin Miskin] said by reading the history and I heard, from [Ibnu Al Qasim], he said; has told me [Malik] from [Yahya bin Sa'd] from ['Amrah] from [Aisyah], he said; "It's not too long (the time has passed) for me and I haven't forgotten (that the law) for cutting a hand is a quarter of a dinar and above (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 4927.) 26th Hadith. God willing God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. God willing وسلم يَقُولُ ‏ "‏ لاَ يُقْطَعُ السَّارِقُ إِلاَّ فِي رُبُعِ دِينَارٍ فَصَاعِدًا ‏"‏ ‏.‏. Having preached to us [Abu Salih Muhammad bin Zunbur], he said; has told us [Ibn Abu Hazim] from [Yazid bin Abdullah] from [Abu Bakr bin Muhammad] from ['Amrah] from [Aisha] that he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) say: "The hand of someone who steals is not cut off except for a quarter of a dinar and above." Having preached to us [Ahmad bin 'Amr bin As Sarh], he said; has told us [Ibn Wahb], he said; has reported to me [Abdur Rahman bin Salman] from [Ibnu Al Had] from [Abu Bakr bin Muhammad bin Hazm] from ['Amrah] from [Aisyah] from Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam like the first (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 4928.) 27th Hadith. God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ "‏ يُقْطَعُ يَدُ السَّارِقِ فِي ثَمَنِ الْمِجَنِّ وَثَمَنَ رُبُعُ دِينَارٍ ‏"‏ ‏.‏. He said: "The hand is not cut off because of the fruit hanging on the tree, then when it has been collected in the drying place, the hand of the person who stole it is cut off when it reaches the price of the shield, and it is not cut off for taking a goat that is grazing on the mountain, then when the goat has entered its pen, the hand that takes it is cut off when it reaches the price of the shield (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 4957.) 38th Hadith. He said: "The person who takes it because he really needs it and does not take it in the fold of the cloth, then there is no punishment for him. And whoever goes out with part of it (which is in the fold of the cloth) then he is obliged to pay the fine twice, and is punished. And whoever steals part of it after it has been collected in the drying place and reaches the price of the shield will have his hand cut off, and whoever steals less than that is obliged to pay the fine twice, and be punished (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 4958.) 39th Hadith. Having said; [Al Harith bin Miskin] read the history and I heard, from [Ibn Wahb], he said; has reported to me ['Amr bin Al Harith] and [Hisyam bin Sa'd] from ['Amr bin Syu'aib] from [his father] from [his grandfather, namely Abdullah bin 'Amr] that a man from Muzainah came to the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam and said; "O Messenger of Allah, what do you think about the goats grazing on the mountain?" He said: "Those animals and similar ones result in punishment, and there is nothing in livestock that causes hands to be cut off except for those that are already in their cage and reach the price of a shield, then their hands are cut off. And those that have not reached the price of a shield then there is a fine twice the same as well as the punishment of flogging." The person said; "O Messenger of Allah, what do you think about the fruit hanging on the tree?" He said: "This fruit and others like it result in punishment and there is no amputation of the hand for taking some of the fruit hanging on the tree unless it has been collected in the drying place, then those taken from the drying place and reaching the price of the shield have their hands cut off and those who have not reached the price of the shield on it are fined and caned (Degree: authentic.
