Welcome to the study of authentic hadith selected by ULYAH. Let's look at some of the following sayings of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, one by one, with an open heart to put them into practice. 1st Hadith. God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، Allah's blessings اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم الْحِبَرَةَ ‏.‏. Having informed us [Ubaidullah bin Sa'id] he said; has told us [Mu'adz bin Hisham] he said; has told me [my father] from [Qatadah] from [Anas] he said, "The clothing most liked by the Prophet of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam was Hibarah (cloth lace with wool) (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5315.) 2nd hadith. God bless you, God bless you خَالِدٌ، - وَهُوَ ابْنُ الْحَارِثِ - قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، God willing God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings عليه وسلم وَعَلَيْهِ ثَوْبَانِ مُعَصْفَرَانِ فَقَالَ ‏ "‏ هَذِهِ ثِيَابُ الْكُفَّارِ فَلاَ تَلْبَسْهَا ‏"‏ ‏.‏. Having informed us [Isma'il bin Mas'ud] he said; has told us [Khalid] - namely Ibnul Harith - he said; has narrated to us [Hisyam] from [Yahya bin Abu Kathir] from [Muhammad bin Ibrahim] that [Khalid bin Ma'dan] told him, that [Jubair bin Nufair] told him, that [Abdullah bin Amru] was seen by Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam wearing two cloths dyed yellow, so he said: "These are the clothes of the infidels, you must not wear them again (Deg: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5316.) 3rd Hadith. God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing Allah's blessings عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدْ God willing مُعَصْفَرَانِ فَغَضِبَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَقَالَ ‏"‏ اذْهَبْ فَاطْرَحْهُمَا عَنْكَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَيْنَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ ‏"‏ فِي النَّارِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏. Having reported to me [Hajib bin Sulaiman] from [Ibnu Abu Dawud] he said; has told us [Ibn Juraij] from [Ibn Thawus] from [his father] from [Abdullah bin Amru], that he once came to the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam wearing two cloths dyed yellow. So the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam became angry and said: "Go and throw away the two cloths from yourself." Abdullah also asked, "Where is the Messenger of Allah?" He answered: "Throw it into the fire (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5317.) 4th Hadith. may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing لَبُوسِ الْقَسِّيِّ وَالْمُعَصْفَرِ وَقِرَاءَةِ الْقُرْآنِ وَأَنَا رَاكِعٌ ‏.‏. Having informed us [Isa bin Hammad] he said; has reported to us [Al Laits] from [Yazid bin Abu Habib] that [Ibrahim bin Abdullah bin Hunain] told him, that [his father] told him, that he heard [Ali] say, "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) forbade me to wear gold rings, wear cloth embroidered with silk, cloth dyed yellow and read the Qur'an when bowing (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5318.) 5th Hadith. Allah's blessings God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing صلى الله عليه وسلم وَعَلَيْهِ ثَوْبَانِ أَخْضَرَانِ ‏.‏. Having reported to us [Al Abbas bin Muhammad] he said; has reported to us [Abu Nuh] he said; has told us [Jarir bin Hazim] from [Abdul Malik bin Umair] from [Iyad bin Laqith] from [Abu Rimtsah] he said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam came out to meet us wearing two green cloths (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5319.) 6th Hadith. God willing God willing حَدَّثَنَا قَيْسٌ، عَنْ خَبَّابْ God willing مُتَوَسِّدٌ بُرْدَةً لَهُ فِي ظِلِّ الْكَعْبَةِ فَقُلْنَا أَلاَ تَسْتَنْصِرُ لَنَا أَلاَ تَدْعُو اللَّهَ لَنَا. Having reported to us [Ya'qub bin Ibrahim] and [Muhammad Ibnul Mutsanna] from [Yahya] from [Isma'il] he said; has told us [Qais] from [Khabbab Ibnul Arat] he said, "We once complained to Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam -when he was lying on his burdah cloth in the shade of the Kaaba-, we said, "Didn't you ask for help for us, didn't you pray for us? (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5320.) 7th Hadith. God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing امْرَأَةٌ بِبُرْدَةٍ - قَالَ سَهْلٌ - هَلْ تَدْرُونَ مَا God bless you حَاشِيَتِهَا ‏ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي نَسَجْتُ هَذِهِ بِيَدِي أَكْسُوكَهَا فَأَخَذَهَا رَسُولُ may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings إِلَيْنَا وَإِنَّهَا لإِزَارُهُ ‏.‏. Having reported to us [Qutaibah] he said; has reported to us [Ya'qub] from [Abu Hazim] from [Sahl bin Sa'd] he said, "A woman came carrying a burdah cloth." Sahl continued, "Do you know what is meant by burdah cloth?" they answered, "Of course, namely coat cloth with woven edges." The woman then said, "O Messenger of Allah, I woven this cloth for you to wear!" Because Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam needed the cloth, he took it. He then came out to meet us, while he gave the woman his sarong (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5321.) 8th Hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْن7 God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings وسلم قَالَ ‏ "‏ الْبَسُوا مِنْ ثِيَابِكُمُ الْبَيَاضَ فَإِنَّهَا أَطْهََرُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ يَحْيَى لَمْ أَكْتُبْهُ ‏.‏ قُلْتُ لِمَ قَالَ God willing سَمُرَةَ ‏.‏. Having informed us [Amru bin Ali] he said; has told us [Yahya bin Sa'id] he said; I heard [Sa'id bin Abu Arubah] narrate from [Ayyub] from [Abu Qilabah] from [Abu Al Muhallib] from [Samurah] from the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, he said: "Wear your white clothes, because they are cleaner and better. And shroud the dead among you in them." Yahya said, "I have not written it (this hadith)." I said, "why?" He answered, "I have satisfied myself with the hadith of Maimun bin Abu Syabib bin Samurah (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5322.) 9th Hadith. God willing God willing God willing, God willing ‏ "‏ عَلَيْكُمْ بِالْبَيَاضِ مِنَ الثِّيَابِ فَلْيَلْبَسْهَا أَحْيَاؤُكُمْ وَكَفِّنُوا فِيهَا مَوْتَاكُمْ فَإِنَّهَا مِنْ خَيْرِ ثِيَابِكُمْ ‏"‏ ‏.‏. Having reported to us [Qutaibah] he said; has told us [Hammad] from [Ayyub] from [Abu Qilabah] from [Samurah] he said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "You should wear white clothes, let the living of you wear them and let the dead of you shroud them with them. Indeed, it is the best of your clothes (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5323.) 10th Hadith. God willing God willing مَخْرَمَةَ، قَالَ قَسَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَقْبِيَةً وَلَمْ يُعْطْ مَخْرَمَةُ يَا بُنَىَّ انْطَلِقْ بِنَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَِ may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings. فَادْعُهُ لِي ‏.‏ قَالَ فَدَعَوْتُهُ فَخَرَجَ إِلَيْهِ وَعَلَيْهِ قِبَاءٌ مِنْهَا فَقَالَ ‏ "‏ خَبَّأْتُ هَذَا لَكَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهِ فَلَبِسَهُ مَخْرَمَةُ ‏.‏. Having informed us [Qutaibah bin Sa'id] he said; has narrated to us [Al Laits] from [Ibn Abu Awalkah] from [Al Miswar bin Makhzumah] he said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam distributed aqbiah (a type of robe), but he did not give Makhramah anything. Makhramah then said, "O my son, come with us to meet the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam." So I went with him. Makhramah said, "Come in and ask for me." Miswar said, "I then asked for him, then he came out to meet him (Makhramah) carrying a Quba (a type of robe). He said: "I hid this especially for you." Makhramah saw the robe and put it on (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5324.) 11th Hadith. God bless you God bless you God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing بِعَرَفَاتٍ فَقَالَ ‏ "‏ مَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ إِزَارًا فَلْيَلْبَسِ السَّرَاوِيلَ وَمَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ نَعْلَيْنِ فَلْيَلْبَسْ خُفَّيْنِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏. Has told us [Muhammad bin Basysyar] he said; has told us [Muhammad] he said; has told us [Syu'bah] from [Amru bin Dinar] from [Jabir bin Zaid] from [Ibnu Abbas] that he heard the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam say at Arafah: "Whoever does not get a sarong should wear trousers, and whoever does not get sandals should wear a khuff (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5325.) 12th Hadith. God willing وَهْبٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، أَنَّ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ "" God willing فَهُوَ يَتَجَلْجَلُ فِي الأَرْضِ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏. Having informed us [Wahb bin Bayan] he said; has told us [Ibn Wahb] he said; has informed me [Yunus] from [Ibn Shihab] that [Salim] told him, that [Abdullah bin Umar] told him, that the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "When a man walks with his cloth stretched out because he is proud, he is sunk to the bottom of the earth and continues to shake until the Day of Resurrection comes (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5326.) 13th Hadith. God willing God willing مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ God willing God willing - "‏ God willing لَمْ يَنْظُرِ اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏. Having informed us [Qutaibah bin Sa'id] he said; has narrated to us [Al Laits] from [Nafi']. (in another way it is mentioned) Has reported to us [Isma'il bin Mas'ud] he said; has told us [Bisyr] he said; has told us [Ubaidullah] from [Nafi'] from [Abdullah] he said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Whoever stretches out his sarong, or he said: "Indeed, the person who stretches out his sarong because he is arrogant, Allah will not see him on the Day of Resurrection (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5327.) 14th Hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَمْ يَنْظُرْ إِلَيْهَ الْقِيَامَةِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏. Having informed us [Muhammad bin Abdul A'la] he said; has told us [Khalid] he said; has related to us [Syu'bah] from [Muharib] he said; I heard [Ibn Umar] that Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Whoever stretches out his cloth because of pride, verily Allah Azza Wa Jalla will not see him on the Day of Resurrection (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5328.) 15th Hadith. God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing قُدَامَةَ، عَنْ جَرِيرٍ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي God willing قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ "‏ مَوْضِعُ God willing God willing وَلاَ حَقَّ لِلْكَعْبَيْنِ فِي الإِزَارِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ وَاللَّفْظُ لِمُحَمَّدٍ ‏.‏. Has informed us [Ishaq bin Ibrahim] and [Muhammad bin Qudamah] from [Jarir] from [Al A'masy] from [Abu Ishaq] from [Muslim bin Nudzair] from [Hudzaifah] he said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "The limit for wearing a sarong is up to the middle of both calves, if you don't like it then it can be lower, if you don't like it then may reach the spine of the calf, and there is no right for two ankles to wear cloth (no right to be covered by cloth) (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5329.) 16th Hadith. God bless you, God bless you خَالِدٌ، - وَهُوَ ابْنُ الْحَارِثِ - قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، God willing God willing يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ "‏ مَا تَحْتَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ مِنَ الإِزَارِ فَفِي النَّارِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏. Having informed us [Isma'il bin Mas'ud] he said; has told us [Khalid] - namely Ibnul Harith - he said; has related to us [Hisyam] from [Yahya] from [Muhammad bin Ibrahim] he said; has told me [Abu Ya'qub] that he heard [Abu Hurairah] say, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "The sarong that is under the ankles is in hell (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5330.) 17th Hadith. God bless you God willing God bless you God willing الْكَعْبَيْنِ مِنَ الإِزَارِ فَفِي النَّارِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏. Having informed us [Mahmud bin Ghailan] he said; has told us [Abu Dawud] he said; has told us [Syu'bah] he said; has reported to me [Sa'id Al Maqburi] he reported from [Abu Hurairah] from the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, he said: "The sarong that is under the ankles is in hell (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5331.) 18th Hadith. God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing الإِزَارِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏. Having informed us [Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Ubaid bin Aqil] he said; has told me [My grandfather] said; has told us [Syu'bah] from [Ash'ath] he said; I heard [Sa'id bin Jubair] from [Ibn Abbas] from the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, he said: "Indeed Allah 'azza wajalla does not see a person whose sarong is isbal (below the ankle) (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5332.) 19th hadith. God bless you God bless you God willing God willing God willing وَجَلَّ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَلاَ يُزَكِّيهِمْ وَلَهُمْ God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing ‏"‏ ‏.‏. Having informed us [Bisyr bin Khalid] he said; has told us [Ghundar] from [Shu'bah] he said; I heard [Sulaiman bin Mihran Al A'masy] from [Sulaiman bin Mushir] from [Kharasyah Ibnul Har] from [Abu Dzar] he said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Three people with whom Allah will not speak on the Day of Resurrection, will not be cleansed from their sins and for them will be a painful punishment; people who cheat in their gifts, people whose sarongs are isbal (covering their ankles) and people who sell their merchandise with false oaths (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5333.) 20th hadith. Allah's blessings God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. سَالِمٍ، عَنِ ابْنْ God willing وَالْعِمَامَةِ مَنْ جَرَّ مِنْهَا شَيْئًا خُيَلاَءَ لاَ يَنْظُرُ اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏. Having informed us [Muhammad bin Rafi'] he said; has told us [Husain bin Ali] from [Abdul Aziz bin Abu Rawwad] from [Salim] from [Ibn Umar] he said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Isbal (lengthening of the cloth) occurs on sarongs, robes and turbans, so whoever lengthens one of them because of arrogance, Allah will not see it on the Day of Judgment (Derajat: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5334.) 21st Hadith. Allah's blessings God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing قَالَ ‏"‏ مَنْ جَرَّ ثَوْبَهُ مِنَ الْخُيَلاَءِ لاَ يَنْظُرُ God willing, God willing ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ أَحَدَ شِقَّىْ إِزَارِي يَسْتَرْخِي إِلاَّ أَنْ أَتَعَاهَدَ ذَلِكَ مِنْهُ ‏.‏ فَقَالَ God willing يَصْنَعُ ذَلِكَ خُيَلاَءَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏. Has informed us [Ali bin Hujr] he said; has told us [Isma'il] he said; has told us [Musa bin Uqbah] from [Salim] from [his father] said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Whoever lengthens his cloth because of pride, Allah will not see him on the Day of Resurrection." Abu Bakr said, "O Messenger of Allah, sometimes one of my cloths falls, unless I always look after it?" Then the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "You are not one of those who do that because of pride (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5335.) 22nd Hadith. God willing God willing نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنْ may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings يَنْظُرِ اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَتْ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهْ قَالَ ‏"‏ تُرْخِينَهُ شِبْرًا ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَتْ إِذًا تَنْكَشِفَ أَقْدَامُهُنَّ ‏." لاَ تَزِدْنَ عَلَيْهِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏. Has informed us [Nuh bin Habib] he said; has told us [Abdurrazaq] he said; has told us [Ma'mar] from [Ayyub] from [Nafi'] from [Ibn Umar] he said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Whoever lengthens his cloth because of pride, Allah will not see him." Umm Salamah asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what should women do with their cloth?" He replied: "You can lengthen it an inch." Umm Salamah asked again, "If that's the case, then their legs will be exposed!" He answered: "You may add one cubit and not more (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5336.) 23rd Hadith. may Allah bless him and give him peace God willing God bless you God bless you عليه وسلم ذُيُولَ النِّسَاءْ عليه وسلم ‏"‏ يُرْخِينَ شِبْرًا ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَتْ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ إِذًا يَنْكَشِفَ عَنْهَا ‏." ذِرَاعًا لاَ تَزِيدُ عَلَيْهِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏. Has told us [Al Abbas Ibnul Walid bin Mazid] he said; has informed me [my father] he said; has told us [Al Auza'i] he said; has told us [Yahya bin Abu Kathir], he [Nafi'] from [Ummu Salamah], that he once asked the Messenger of Allah about women's cloth, sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, so the Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "They can lengthen it by one inch." Umm Salamah said, "If that is so, then their legs will be open!? She replied: "Please lengthen one cubit and not more (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5337.) 24th Hadith. God willing God willing مُوسَى، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ صَفِيَّةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، God willing مَا ذَكَرَ قَالَتْ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ فَكَيْفَ بِالنِّسَاءِ قَالَ ‏"‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَتْ إِذًا تَبْدُوَ أَقْدَامُهُنَّ ‏." ‏"‏ ‏.‏. Having reported to us [Abdul Jabbar Ibnul 'Ala bin Abdul Jabbar] from [Sufyan] he said; has told me [Ayyub bin Musa] from [Nafi'] from [Shafiah] from [Ummu Salamah], that when it was mentioned to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) about women's clothing like what has been mentioned, Umm Salamah said, "Then what about women's clothing?" He replied: "They can lengthen it by one inch." Umm Salamah said again, "Then the soles of their feet will be visible!" He then said: "They may add one cubit and not more (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5338.) 25th Hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا النَّضْرُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعْتَمِرُ، - وَهُوَ ابْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ - قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، God bless you سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَمْ تَُرُّ الْمَرْأَةُ مِنْ ذَيْلِهَا قَالَ ‏"‏ شِبْرًا ‏"‏ ‏." إِذًا يَنْكَشِفَ عَنْهَا ‏." عَلَيْهَا ‏"‏ ‏.‏.
