Welcome to the study of authentic hadith selected by ULYAH. Let's look at some of the following sayings of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, one by one, with an open heart to put them into practice. 1st Hadith. God willing حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، قَالَ نَذَرْتُ نَذْرًا فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَسَأَلْتُ God willing فَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ أُوفِيَ بِنَذْرِي .. It has been told to us [Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah] said, it has been told to us [Hafsh bin Ghiyats] from [Ubaidullah bin Umar] from [Nafi'] from [Ibn Umar] from [Umar Ibnul Khtahthab] he said, "In the Jahiliyah era I once made a vow, after I converted to Islam, I asked the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam. He ordered me to fulfill my vow (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2129.) 2nd hadith. حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدَ God willing God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing وسلم ـ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي نَذَرْتُ أَنْ God bless you أَمْرِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ " ." بِنَذْرِكَ " .. It has been told to us that [Muhammad bin Yahya] and [Abdullah bin Ishaq Aljauhari] both said; has told us [Abdullah bin Raja] said, has reported to us [Al Mas'udi] from [Habib bin Abu Thabit] from [Sa'id bin Jubair] from [Ibn Abbas], "That a man came to the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam and asked; "O Rasulullah, indeed I once vowed to sacrifice in Buwanah!? He asked: "Are you still clinging to anything from the matters of ignorance?" he answered, "No." He said: "Perform it (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2130.) 3rd Hadith. God willing God willing God willing God willing God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings وسلم ـ " هَلْ بِهَا وَثَنٌ " . قَالَ لاَ . قَالَ " أَوْفِ بِنَذْرِكَ " ." God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing بِنْتِ كَرْدَمٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ بِنَحْوِهِ .. Has told us [Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah] said, has told us [Marwan bin Mu'awiyah] from [Abdullah bin 'Abdurrahman Ath Tha`ifi] from [Maimunah bint Kardam Al Yasariah] that his father once met the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, while he was behind his father. His father said, "I vow to sacrifice in Buwanah?" then Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Is there a statue there?" he answered, "No." He then said: "Carry out your nadzar." Has told us [Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah] said, has told us [Ibn Dukain] from [Abdullah bin 'Abdurrahman] from [Yazid bin Miqsam] from [Maimunah bint Kardam] from the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam as in the hadith (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2131.) 4th Hadith. God willing سَعْدٍ، عَنِ ابْنْ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. God willing كَانَ عَلَى أُمِّهِ تُوُفِّيَتْ وَلَمْ تَقْضِهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " .. It has been reported to us [Muhammad bin Rumh] said, it has been reported to us [Al Laits bin Sa'd] from [Ibn Shihab] from [Ubaidullah bin Abdullah] from [Ibn Abbas] said, "Sa'd bin Ubadah asked for a fatwa from Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam regarding the vows of his mother who had died and had not been carried out, so Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Do it for him (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2132.) 5th Hadith. حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدَ God bless you دِينَارٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ،. God willing فَقَالَتْ إِنَّ أُمِّي تُوُفِّيَتْ وَعَلَيْهَا نَذْمُ فَتُوُفِّيَتْ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَقْضِيَهُ . فَقَالَ رَسُولُ may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings " .. It has been told to us [Muhammad bin Yahya] said, it has been told to us [Yahya bin Bukair] said, it has been told to us [Ibn Lahi'ah] from ['Amru bin Dinar] from [Jabir bin Abdullah] said, "A woman came to Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam and said, "My mother died, while she had vowed to observe fasting but she died before carrying out her vows?" So Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam replied: "Let his guardian do it (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2133.) 6th Hadith. God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ فَقَالَ " مُرْهَا فَلْتَرْكَبْ وَلْتَخْتَمِرْ وَلْتَصُمْ ثَلاَثَةَ أَيَّامٍ " .. Has told us [Ali bin Muhammad] said, has told us [Abdullah bin Numair] from [Yahya bin Sa'id] from [Ubaidullah bin Zahr] from [Abu Sa'id Ar Ru'aini] that [Abdullah bin Malik] told him, [Uqbah bin Amir] told him, that his sister once vowed to walk barefoot and not wear a veil. then he told this to Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam until he said: "Order him to ride, veil and fast for three days (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2134.) 7th Hadith. God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing God willing ابْنَيْهِ فَقَالَ " مَا شَأْنُ هَذَا " ." نَذْرٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ . قَالَ " ارْكَبْ أَيُّهَا الشَّيْخُ فَإِنَِ .. It has been told to us [Ya'qub bin Humaid bin Kasib] said, it has been told to us by [Abdul Aziz bin Muhammad] from [Amru bin Abu Amru] from [Al A'raj] from [Abu Hurairah] he said, "The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam saw an old man walking between his two children, he then asked: "What is the matter with this person?" The two children answered, "O Messenger of Allah, he is nadzar." He then said: "Get on the vehicle, old man, indeed Allah does not need your sacrifices and nadzar (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2135.) 8th Hadith. حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدَ may Allah bless him and give him peace God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهْ God bless you " مَا هَذَا " . قَالُوا نَذَرَ أَنْ يَصُومَ وَلاَ يَسْتَظِلَّ إِلَى اللَّيْلِ وَلاَ يَتَكَلَّمَ وَلاَ يَزَالَ قَائِمًا . قَالَ " لِيَتَكَلَّمْ وَلْيَسْتَظِلَّ وَلْيَجْلِسْ وَلْيُتِمَّ صِيَامَهُ " . حَدَّثَنَا may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing .. Has told us [Muhammad bin Yahya] said, has told us [Ishaq bin Muhammad Al Farwi] said, has told us [Abdullah bin Umar] from [Ubaidullah bin Umar] from ['Atha] from [Ibn Abbas] said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam passed by a man in Mecca who was standing under the hot sun. He then asked: "What is this man doing?" The companions answered, "He vowed to fast, will not take shelter until nightfall, will not speak and will continue to stand." He said: "Order him to speak, take shade, sit down and complete his fast." Has told us [Al Husain bin Muhammad bin Syanbah Al Wasithi] said, has told us [Al 'Ala bin Abdul Jabbar] from [Wuhaib] from [Ayyub] from [Ikrimah] from [Ibn Abbas] from the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam as in the hadith. Waallahu A'lam (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2136.) 9th Hadith. God willing مُحَمَّدٍ، وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ، قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " مَا أَكَلَ الرَّجُلُ مِنْ كَسْبِهِ وَإِنَّ وَلَدَهُ مِنْ كَسْبِهِ " .. It has been told to us [Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah] and [Ali bin Muhammad] and [Ishaq bin Ibrahim bin Habib] they said; has narrated to us [Abu Mu'awiyah] said, has narrated to us [Al A'masy] from [Ibrahim] from [Al Aswad] from ['Aisha] he said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "The best thing for a person to eat is from his hard work. And children are included in their efforts (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2137.) 10th Hadith. God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. مَعْدَانَ، عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ مَعْدِيكَرِبَ God willing قَالَ " مَا كَسَبَ الرَّجُلُ كَسْبًا أَطْيَبَ مِنْ عَمَلِ يَدِهِ وَمَا أَنْفَقَ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ وَأَهْلِهِ وَوَلَدِهِ وَخَادِمِهِ فَهُوَ صَدَقَةٌ " .. Has told us [Hisyam bin Ammar] said, has told us [Isma'il bin 'Ayyasy] from [Bahir bin Sa'd] from [Khalid bin Ma'dan] from [Al Miqdam bin Ma'dikarib Az Zubaidi] from Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, he said: "There is nothing better than a man's efforts except from the results of his own hands. And what a man spends on men to themselves, wives, children and servants is charity (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2138.) 11th Hadith. Has told us [Ahmad bin Sinan] said, has told us [Katsir bin Hisyam] said, has told us [Kultsum bin Jausyan Al Qusyairi] from [Ayyub] from [Nafi'] from [Ibnu Umar] he said; "The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "A trader who is trustworthy, honest and muslim, then on the Day of Judgment he will be with the martyrs (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2139.) 12th Hadith. God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing God willing " السَّاعِي عَلَى الأَرْمَلَةِ وَالْمِسْكِينِ كَالْمُجَاهِدِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَكَالَّذِى اللَّيْلَ وَيَصُومُ النَّهَارَ " .. It has been told to us [Ya'qub bin Humaid bin Kasib] said, it has been told to us [Abdul Aziz Ad Darawardi] from [Tsaur bin Zaid Ad Daili] from [Abu Al Ghaits] the former slave of Ibn Muthi', from [Abu Hurairah] that the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "The person who helps widows and the poor is like a mujahid in the way of Allah, or like someone who prays at night and fasts during the day (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2140.) 13th Hadith. God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings God willing God bless you God willing فَقَالَ لَهُ بَعْضُنَا نَرَاكَ الْيَوْمَ طَيِّبَ النَِ . فَقَالَ " أَجَلْ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ " . ثُمَّ may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind Allah's blessings مِنَ الْغِنَى وَطِيبُ النَّفْسِ مِنَ النِّعَمِ " .. Has told us [Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah] said, has told us [Khalid bin Makhlad] said, has told us [Abdullah bin Sulaiman] from [Mu'adz bin Abdullah bin Khubaib] from [his father] from [his uncle] he said, "We were sitting in an assembly, then the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam came, while there was still water remaining on his head. Some of us said to him, "Today we saw you looking happy," he then answered: "That's right, praise be to Allah." After that, people were lost in discussions about wealth until he said: "There is nothing wrong with being rich for people who are pious. And being healthy for people who are pious is better than being rich. And happiness is part of enjoyment (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2141.) 14th Hadith. God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " God willing لِمَا خُلِقَ لَهُ " .. Has told us [Hisyam bin Ammar] said, has told us [Isma'il bin 'Ayyasy] from [Umarah bin Ghaziyyah] from [Rabi'ah bin Abu 'Abdurrahman] from [Abdul Malik bin Sa'id Al Ansari] from [Abu Humaid As Sa'idi] he said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Seek the good in seeking world, because it has been made easier for everyone to carry out their part (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2142.) 15th Hadith. God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. God willing God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings God willing آخِرَتِهِ " . قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ إِسْمَاعِيلُ .. Has told us [Isma'il bin Bihram] said, has told us [Al Hasan bin Muhammad bin Uthman] - the husband of the daughter of Asy Sya'bi - said, has told us [Sufyan] from [Al A'masy] from [Yazid Ar Raqqasyi] from [Anas bin Malik] he said, "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "The man with the greatest spirit is a believer who is concerned about the affairs of this world and the hereafter." Abu Abdullah said, "This is a gharib hadith and was only narrated by Isma'il (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2143.) 16th Hadith. may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " أَيُّهَا may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings نَفْسًا لَنْ تَمُوتَ حَتَّى تَسْتَوْفِيَ رِزْقَهَا وَإِنْ God willing الطَّلَبِ خُذُوا مَا حَلَّ وَدَعُوا مَا حَرُمَ " .. Has told us [Muhammad bin Al Mushaffa Al Himshi] said, has told us [Al Walid bin Muslim] from [Ibn Juraij] from [Abu Zubair] from [Jabir bin Abdullah] he said, "Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "O people, fear Allah and seek the good in seeking the world. In fact, a soul will not die until its sustenance is fulfilled, even if it is hampered. Fear Allah, look for what is good in the world, take what is halal and leave what is haram (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2144.) 17th Hadith. God bless you Allah's blessings God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind فَمَرَّ بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ فَسَمَّانَا بِاسْمٍ هُوَ أَحْسَنُ مِنْهُ فَقَالَ " يَا prayer وَاللَّغْوُ فَشُوبُوهُ بِالصَّدَقَةِ " .. Has told us [Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Numair] said, has told us [Abu Mu'awiyah] from [Al A'masy] from [Syaqiq] from [Qais bin Abu Gharazah] he said, "At the time of Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam we were given the nickname Samasirah (broker), then Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam passed by us and gave us a better name. He said: "O traders, indeed trade is always infiltrated by false oaths, so infiltrate it with alms (as if it were kafarah) (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2145.) 18th Hadith. God bless you يَحْيَى بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ الطَّائِفِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ God willing God willing God willing النَّاسُ يَتَبَايَعُونَ بُكْرَةً فَنَادَاهُمْ " يَا مَعْشَرَ التُّجَّارِ " . فَلَمَّا رَفَعُوا أَبْصَارَهُمْ وَمَدُّوا أَعْنَاقَهُمْ قَالَ " إِنَّ التُّجَّارَ يُبْعَثُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فُجَّارًا إِلاَّ مَنِ اتَّقَى اللَّهَ وَبَرَّ وَصَدَقَ " .. Has told us [Ya'qub bin Humaid bin Kasib] said, has told us [Yahya bin Sulaim Ath Tha`ifi] from [Abdullah bin Uthman bin Khutsaim] from [Isma'il bin Ubaid bin Rifa'ah] from [his father] from his grandfather [Rifa'ah] he said, "When we came out with the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, it turned out that there were people buying and selling in the morning still blind. He then called to them: "O traders." When they raised their eyes and extended their necks, he said: "Indeed, traders will be resurrected on the Day of Judgment in a state of sin, except those who fear Allah, do good and are honest (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2146.) 19th hadith. God bless you may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings هِلاَلِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ قَالَ God willing شَىْءٍ فَلْيَلْزَمْهُ " .. Has told us [Muhammad bin Basysyar] said, has told us [Muhammad bin Abdullah] said, has told us [Farwah Abu Yunus] from [Hilal bin Jubair] from [Anas bin Malik] he said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Whoever is given something then persevere on it (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2147.) 20th hadith. God bless you God willing نَافِعٍ، قَالَ كُنْتُ أُجَهِّزُ إِلَى الشَّامِ وَإِلَى مِصْرَ God bless you God bless you God willing فَقَالَتْ لاَ تَفْعَلْ مَالَكَ وَلِمَتْجَرِكَ فَإِنِّي God willing God bless you "" .. Has told us [Muhammad bin Yahya] said, has told us [Abu 'Ashim] said, has told me [my father] from [Az Zubair bin Ubaid] from [Nafi'] he said, "I once prepared supplies to go to Syria and Egypt, but I prepared myself to go to Iraq. Then I came to ['Aisyah Ummul Mukminin] and said to her, "O ummul mu'minin, I have prepared myself to go to Syria, and now I will go to Iraq." So he said, "Don't do it, what will be the benefit for you and for your business, verily I heard the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam say: "If Allah makes a cause for someone about his sustenance from one direction, then let him not leave it until he changes or disappears from it (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2148.) 21st Hadith. God willing يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْقُرَشِيُّ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، سَعِيدِ بْنِ God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings إِلاَّ رَاعِيَ غَنَمٍ " . قَالَ لَهُ أَصْحَابُهُ وَأَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ . قَالَ " وَأَنَا كُنْتُ أَرْعَاهَا لأَهْلِ مَكَّةَ بِالْقَرَارِيطِ " . قَالَ سُوَيْدٌ يَعْنِي كُلُّ شَاةٍ بِقِيرَاطٍ .. Has told us [Suwaid bin Sa'id] said, has told us ['Amru bin Yahya bin Sa'id Al Qurasyi] from his grandfather [Sa'id bin Abu Uhaihah] from [Abu Hurairah] he said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Allah did not send a Prophet except as a goat herder." His companions asked, "What about you?" He answered: "I am a Goat herding for the people of Mecca with wages of several qirath." Suwaid said, "What he meant was each goat with one qirath (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2149.) 22nd Hadith. God bless you عَبْدِ اللَّهْ God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ " كَانَ زَكَرِيَّا نَجَّارًا " .. Has told us [Muhammad bin Yahya] said, has told us [Muhammad bin Abdullah Al Khuza'i] and [Al Hajjaj] and [Al Haitsam bin Jamil] they said; has told us [Hammad] from [Tsabit] from [Abu Rabi'] from [Abu Hurairah] that the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Zakaria was a craftsman (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2150.) 23rd Hadith. God willing God willing God willing " إِنَّ أَصْحَابَ الصُّوَرِ يُعَذَّبُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يُقَالُ لَهُمْ أَحْيُوا مَا خَلَقْتُمْ " .. Has told us [Muhammad bin Rumh] said, has told us [Al Laits bin Sa'd] from [Nafi'] from [Al Qasim bin Muhammad] from ['Aisyah] that the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Indeed, the painters on the Day of Resurrection will be tormented. It will be said to them, "Bring to life what you have created (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2151.) 24th Hadith. God willing هَارُونَ، عَنْ هَمَّامٍ، عَنْ فَرْقَدٍ السَّبَخِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " أَكْذَبُ النَّاسِ الصَّبَّاغُونَ وَالصَّوَّاغُونَ " .. Has told us [Amru bin Rafi'] said, has told us [Umar bin Harun] from [Hammam] from [Farqad As Sabakhi] from [Yazid bin Abdullah bin Asy Syikhir] from [Abu Hurairah] he said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Human lies are those of dyers (cloth dyes) and those who are crooked in their tongues. (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2152.) 25th Hadith. حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَم God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing جُدْعَانَ، عَنْ سَعِيدْ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing " الْجَالِبُ مَرْزُوقٌ وَالْمُحْتَكِرُ مَلْعُونٌ " .. Hadits ke-39. حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ، أَنْبَأَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ قَالَ عَطَاءُ بْنُ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ عَامَ الْفَتْحِ وَهُوَ بِمَكَّةَ " إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ حَرَّمَ بَيْعَ الْخَمْرِ وَالْمَيْتَةِ وَالْخِنْزِيرِ وَالأَصْنَامِ " . فَقِيلَ لَهُ عِنْدَ ذَلِكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَرَأَيْتَ شُحُومَ الْمَيْتَةِ فَإِنَّهُ يُدْهَنُ بِهَا السُّفُنُ وَيُدْهَنُ بِهَا الْجُلُودُ وَيَسْتَصْبِحُ بِهَا النَّاسُ قَالَ " لاَ هُنَّ حَرَامٌ " . ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " قَاتَلَ اللَّهُ الْيَهُودَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ حَرَّمَ عَلَيْهِمُ الشُّحُومَ فَأَجْمَلُوهُ ثُمَّ بَاعُوهُ فَأَكَلُوا ثَمَنَهُ " .. Lalu dikatakan kepada beliau, "Wahai Rasulullah, bagaimana dengan lemak bangkai?
