Welcome to the study of authentic hadith selected by ULYAH. Let's look at some of the following sayings of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, one by one, with an open heart to put them into practice. 1st Hadith. may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind. God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. God bless you قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سَالِمَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ God willing رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ "" God willing يَكْفِي الثَّلاَثَةَ وَالأَرْبَعَةَ وَإِنَّ طَعَامَ الأَرْبَعَةِ يَكْفِي الْخَمْسَةَ وَالسِّتَّةَ " .. Has told us [Al Hasan bin Ali Al Khallal] has told us [Al Hasan bin Musa] has told us [Sa'id bin Zaid] has told us ['Amru bin Dinar Qahraman] from the family of Az Zubair, he said; I heard [Salim bin Abdullah bin Umar] from [his father] from his grandfather [Umar bin Al Khaththab] he said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Indeed, one meal is enough for two people, two meals are enough for three and four people, and four meals are enough for five and six people (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 3255.) 2nd hadith. God willing God willing مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " الْمُؤْمِنُ يَأْكُلُ فِي مِعًى وَاحِدٍ وَالْكَافِرُ يَأْكُلُ فِي سَبْعَةِ أَمْعَاءٍ " .. Has told us [Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah] has told us ['Affan]. (in another way it is stated) Has told us [Muhammad bin Basysyar] has told us [Muhammad bin Ja'far] both said; has narrated to us [Syu'bah] from ['Adi bin Thabit] from [Abu Hazim] from [Abu Hurairah] he said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "A believer eats with one intestine, while a disbeliever eats with seven intestines (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 3256.) 3rd Hadith. God bless you God bless you God willing God willing يَأْكُلُ فِي مِعًى وَاحِدٍ " .. Has told us [Ali bin Muhammad] has told us [Abdullah bin Numair] from ['Ubaidullah] from [Nafi'] from [Ibn Umar] from the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, he said: "The disbelievers eat with seven intestines while the believers eat with one intestine (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 3257.) 4th Hadith. God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing وسلم ـ " الْمُؤْمِنُ يَأْكُلُ فِي مِعًى وَاحِدٍ وَالْكَافِرُ يَأْكُلُ فِي سَبْعَةِ أَمْعَاءٍ " .. Has told us [Abu Kuraib] has told us [Abu Usamah] from [Buraid bin Abdullah] from his grandfather [Abu Burdah] from [Abu Musa] he said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "The believer eats with one intestine, while the disbeliever eats with seven intestines (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 3258.) 5th Hadith. God bless you God willing God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings أَكَلَهُ وَإِلاَّ تَرَكَهُ God willing God willing God bless you بَكْرٍ نُخَالِفُ فِيهِ يَقُولُونَ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ .. Has told us [Muhammad bin Basysyar] has told us [Abdurrahman] has told us [Sufyan] from [Al A'masy] from [Abu Hazim] from [Abu Hurairah] he said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam never criticized food at all, if he liked it he ate it, but if not then he abandoned it." Has told us [Abu Bakar bin Abu Syaibah] has told us [Abu Mu'awiyah] from [Al A'masy] from [Abu Yahya] from [Abu Hurairah] from the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam like the above hadith." Abu Bakr said, "We do not agree with the sanad, they say 'From Abu Hazim (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 3259.) 6th Hadith. God bless you God bless you رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ "" يُكْثِرَ اللَّهُ خَيْرَ بَيْتِهِ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ إِذَا حَضَرَ غَدَاؤُهُ وَإِذَا رُفِعَ " .. Has told us [Jubarah bin Al Mughallas] has told us [Katsir bin Sulaim] I heard [Anas bin Malik] say, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Whoever wants Allah to increase the goodness of his house, then he should perform ablution when his breakfast has been served, or when he has finished (from eating) (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 3260.) 7th Hadith. God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing The message خَرَجَ مِنَ الْغَائِطِ فَأُتِيَ بِطَعَامٍ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهْ الصَّلاَةَ " .. Has told us [Ja'far bin Musafir] has told us [Sha'id bin 'Ubaid Al Jazari] has told us [Zuhair bin Mu'awiyah] has told us [Muhammad bin Juhadah] has told us ['Amru bin Dinar Al Makki] from ['Atha bin Yasar] from [Abu Hurairah] from Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, that when he finished defecating then food was served to him, then a man said, "O Messenger of Allah, shall I provide you with water for ablution?" He answered: "I want to pray (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 3261.) 8th Hadith. God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings وسلم ـ قَالَ " لاَ آكُلُ مُتَّكِئًا " .. Has told us [Muhammad bin As Shabah] has told us [Sufyan bin 'Uyainah] from [Mis'ar] from [Ali bin Al Aqmar] from [Abu Juhaifah], that the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "I do not (ever) eat while leaning (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 3262.) 9th Hadith. God bless you God willing God bless him may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings وسلم ـ عَلَى رُكْبَتَيْهِ يَأْكُلُ فَقَالَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ مَا هَذِهِ الْجِلْسَةُ فَقَالَ " إِنَّ اللَّهَ جَعَلَنِي عَبْدًا كَرِيمًا وَلَمْ يَجْعَلْنِي جَبَّارًا عَنِيدًا " .. It has been told to us ['Amru bin Uthman bin Sa'id bin Katsir bin Dinar Al Himshi] has told us [My father] has told us [Muhammad bin Abdurrahman bin 'Irq] has told us [Abdullah bin Busr] he said, "I presented a goat (grilled) to the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, then he ate while sitting kneeling on his two heels. So said a Bedouin Arab, "Sit down what is this?" he answered: "Indeed, Allah made me a gentle (noble) servant, and did not make me a harsh and arrogant servant (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 3263.) 10th Hadith. God willing يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، عَنِ هِشَامٍ الدَّسْتَوَائِيِّ، عَنْ God willing بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings Allah's blessings فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " أَمَا God bless you God bless you نَسِيَ أَنْ يَقُولَ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ فِي أَوَّلِهِ فَلْيَقُلْ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ فِي أَوَّلِهِ وَآخِرِهِ " .. Has told us [Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah] has told us [Yazid bin Harun] from [Hisyam Ad Dastuwa`i] from [Budail bin Maisarah] from [Abdullah bin 'Ubaid bin Umair] from [Aisyah] he said, "Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam was eating with six of his companions, then a Bedouin Arab came and ate two mouthfuls at a time, then Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam also said: "If he said 'Bismillah' surely (his two mouthfuls) would be enough for you. If one of you eats food, he should recite 'Bismillah', if he forgets to recite it he should say, 'Bismillahi fi awwalihi wa Akhirihi (with the name of Allah for the beginning and end) (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 3264.) 11th Hadith. God bless you God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings وسلم ـ وَأَنَا آكُلُ " سَمِّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ " .. Has told us [Muhammad bin Ash Shabah] has told us [Sufyan] from [Hisyam bin 'Urwah] from [His father] from [Umar bin Abu Salamah] he said, "The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said to me while I was eating: "Call on the name of Allah Azza Wa Jalla (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 3265.) 12th Hadith. God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God bless you أَحَدُكُما God willing يَأْكُلُ بِشِمَالِهِ وَيَشْرَبُ بِشِمَالِهِ وَيُعْطِي بِشِمَالِهِ وَيَأْخُذُ بِشِمَالِهِ " .. Has told us [Hisyam bin 'Ammar] has told us [Al Hiql bin Ziyad] has told us [Hisyam bin Hassan] from [Yahya bin Abu Kathir] from [Abu Salamah] from [Abu Hurairah], that the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "One of you should eat with the right hand, drink with the right hand, take with the right hand and give with the right hand, verily Satan eats with the left hand and drinks with his left hand and takes (something) with his left hand (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 3266.) 13th Hadith. God willing God willing God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing غُلاَمًا فِي حِجْرْ يَدِي تَطِيشُ فِي الصَّحْفَةِ فَقَالَ لِي " يَا غُلاَمُ God willing وَكُلْ بِيَمِينِكَ وَكُلْ مِمَّا يَلِيكَ " .. It has been told to us that [Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah] and [Muhammad bin As Shabah] both said; has told us [Sufyan bin 'Uyainah] from [Al Walid bin Katsir] from [Wahb bin Kaisan] he heard from [Umar bin Abu Salamah] he said, "When I was a child I was in the lap of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, when my hand was holding a plate, the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said to me: "O little child, say the name of Allah, eat with your right hand and take from what is near (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 3267.) 14th Hadith. God willing God willing اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ " لاَ تَأْكُلُوا " .. Has told us [Muhammad bin Rumh] has told us [Al Laits bin Sa'd] from [Abu Az Zubair] from [Jabir] from Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, he said: "Do not eat with your left hand, indeed the devil eats with his left hand (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 3268.) 15th Hadith. God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing God willing ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ " إِذَا أَكَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ God willing يُلْعِقَهَا " . قَالَ سُفْيَانُ سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ قَيْسٍ، يَسْأَلُ عَمْرَو بْنَ دِينَارٍ أَرَأَيْتَ حَدِيثَ عَطَاءٍ " لاَ يَمْسَحْ أَحَدُكُمْ يَدَهُ حَتَّى يَلْعَقَهَا أَوْ يُلْعِقَهَا " ." عَبَّاسٍ . قَالَ فَإِنَّهُ حُدِّثْنَاهُ عَنْ جَابِرٍ . قَالَ حَفِظْنَاهُ مِنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَقْدَمَ جَابِرٌ عَلَيْنَا وَإِنَّمَا لَقِيَ عَطَاءٌ جَابِرًا فِي سَنَةٍ جَاوَرَ فِيهَا بِمَكَّةَ .. It has been told to us [Muhammad bin Abu Umar Al 'Adani] has told us [Sufyan bin 'Uyainah] from ['Amru bin Dinar] from ['Atha] from [Ibn Abbas], that the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "When one of you has finished eating then he should not wash his food first until he has licked it or licked it to another person." [Sufyan] said; I heard [Umar bin Qais] ask 'Amru bin Dinar, "What do you think about the narration of Atha, (namely) 'None of you should wash his hands before licking them or licking them to others', from whom is the hadith narrated?" 'Atha answered, "From Ibn Abbas." Sufyan said, "We got the story that it was a history from [Jabir]." Sufyan continued, "We memorized it from 'Atha from Ibn Abbas, before Jabir came to us. And 'Atha met Jabir the year he went to Mecca (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 3269.) 16th Hadith. God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing " لاَ يَمْسَحْ أَحَدُكُمْ يَدَهُ حَتَّى يَلْعَقَهَا فَإِنَّهُ لاَ يَدْرِي فِي أَىِّ طَعَامِهِ الْبَرَكَةُ " .. Has told us [Musa bin Abdurrahman] has told us [Abu Daud Al Hafari] from [Sufyan] from [Abu Az Zubair] from [Jabir] he said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Do not one of you wash his hands first before licking them, because he does not know in which food there is blessing (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 3270.) 17th Hadith. God willing يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَنْبَأَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ God willing قَالَتْ دَخَلَ عَلَيْنَا نُبَيْشَةُ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " مَنْ أَكَلَ فِي قَصْعَةٍ فَلَحِسَهَا اسْتَغْفَرَتْ لَهُ الْقَصْعَةُ " .. Has told us [Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah] has told us [Yazid bin Harun] has told us [Abu Al Yaman Al Barra`] he said; had told me about my grandmother [Ummu 'Ashim] she said, "[Nubaisyah] a former slave of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam came to see us when we were eating in a jar, he then said, "The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Whoever eats on a plate and then licks it, then the plate will ask forgiveness for him (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 3271.) 18th Hadith. God willing God willing God willing يُقَالُ لَهُ نُبَيْشَةُ الْخَيْرِ قَالَتْ دَخَلَ عَلَيْنَا نُبَيْشَةُ وَنَحْنَ حَدَّثَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ " مَنْ أَكَلَ فِي قَصْعَةٍ ثُمَّ لَحِسَهَا اسْتَغْفَرَتْ لَهُ الْقَصْعَةُ " .. It has been told to us that [Abu Bisyr Bakr bin Khalaf] and [Nashr bin Ali] both said; has told us [Al Mu'ali bin Rasyid Abu Al Yaman] has told me [my grandmother] from a man from a resident of Hudzail called [Nubaisyah Al Khair], he said, "Nubaisyah came to see us when we were eating on our plate, so he said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam told us, he said: "Whoever eats on a plate and then licks it, the plate will ask forgiveness for him (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 3272.) 19th hadith. may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنِ ابْنْ may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings فَلْيَأْكُلْ مِمَّا يَلِيهِ وَلاَ يَتَنَاوَلْ مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَىْ جَلِيسِهِ " .. Has told us [Muhammad bin Khalaf Al Asqalani] has told us ['Ubaidullah] has told us [Abdul A'la] from [Yahya bin Abu Katsir] from ['Urwah bin Az Zubiar] from [Ibn Umar] he said, "Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "When food has been served then eat what is closest to it, and do not take (the food who is) in the middle of his seatmates (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 3273.) 20th hadith. God bless you بْنُ الْفَضْلِ بْنْ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing عِكْرَاشِ بْنْ وسلم ـ بِجَفْنَةٍ كَثِيرَةِ الثَّرِيدِ وَالْوَدَكِ فَأَقْبَلْنَا نَأْكُلُ مِنْهَا فَخَبَطْتُ يَدِي فِي نَوَاحِيهَا فَقَالَ " يَا عِكْرَاشُ كُلْ مِنْ مَوْضِعٍ وَاحِدٍ فَإِنَّهُ طَعَامٌ وَاحِدٌ " . ثُمَّ أُتِينَا بِطَبَقٍ فِيهِ أَلْوَانٌ مِنَ الرُِ God bless you God willing وَاحِدٍ " .. Has told us [Muhammad bin Basysyar] has told us [Al 'Ala' bin Fadll bin Abdul Malik bin Abu As Sawiyah] has told me ['Ubaidullah bin 'Ikrasy] from his father ['Ikrasy bin Dzu'aib] he said, "The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam was brought a bowl of bread and fat, then we came and ate it. I put my hands on the sides of the food, so he admonished: "O 'Ikrasy, eat from one place! In fact, this food is only one kind." Then we were brought a tray containing several kinds of wet dates, then the hand of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam touched the tray while saying: "O 'Ikrasy, eat from wherever you like, because this food is not one kind (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 3274.) 21st Hadith. God bless you God willing مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عِرْقٍ الْيَحْصُبِيُّ، Allah's blessings may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " كُلُوا مِنْ جَوَانِبِهَا وَدَعُوا ذُرْوَتَهَا يُبَارَكْ فِيهَا " .. Has told us ['Amru bin Uthman bin Sa'id bin Katsir bin Dinar Al Himshi] has told us [My father] has told us [Abdurrahman bin 'Irq Al Yahshabi] has told us [Abdullah bin Busr], that a bowl of food was served to Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, then Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Eat the side and leave the middle, hopefully it will give blessings (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 3275.) 22nd Hadith. may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God bless you God willing God willing God willing تَأْتِيهَا مِنْ فَوْقِهَا " .. Has told us [Hisyam bin 'Ammar] has told us [Abu Hafsh Umar bin Ad Darafsi] has told me [Abdurrahman bin Abu Qasimah] from [Watsilah bin Al Asqa' Al Laitsi] he said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam took the top of the porridge while saying: "Eat with the name of Allah from the side and avoid the top (middle), indeed blessings come from the top (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 3276.) 23rd Hadith. God willing God bless you God willing رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ "" God bless you الْبَرَكَةَ تَنْزِلُ فِي وَسَطِهِ " .. Has told us [Ali bin Mundzir] has told us [Muhammad bin Fudlail] has told us ['Atha bin As Sa`ib] from [Sa'id bin Jubair] from [Ibn Abbas] he said, "Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam: "When food has been served then take it from the edge and leave the middle, verily the blessing falls in the middle (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 3277.) 24th Hadith. God bless you God willing يَسَارٍ، قَالَ بَيْنَمَا هُوَ يَتَغَدَّى إِذْ سَقَطَتْ مِنْهُ لُقْمَةٌ فَتَنَاوَلَهَا فَأَمَاطَ مَا كَانَ فِيهَا مِنْ أَذًى فَأَكَلَهَا فَتَغَامَزَ بِهِ الدَّهَاقِينُ فَقِيلَ أَصْلَحَ may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings يَتَغَامَزُونَ مِنْ أَخْذِكَ اللُّقْمَةَ وَبَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ هَذَا الطَّعَامُ . قَالَ إِنِّي لَمْ أَكُنْ لأَدَعَ مَا سَمِعْتُ مِنْ رَسُولَ God willing لُقْمَتُهُ أَنْ يَأْخُذَهَا فَيُمِيطَ مَا كَانَ فِيهَا مِنْ أَذًى وَيَأْكُلَهَا وَلاَ يَدَعَهَا لِلشَّيْطَانِ .. It has been told to us [Suwaid bin Sa'id] has told us [Yazid bin Zurai'] from [Yunus] from [Al Hasan] from [Ma'qil bin Yasar] he said, "When he was having breakfast a morsel of food fell from (his hand), he then picked it up while cleaning off the dirt that was stuck to the food. So the leaders of the tribes beckoned to each other with their eyes, then said to Ma'qil, "May Allah give goodness to the Amir (leader), the leaders The tribes exchanged eye contact because you took a bite of food that fell, even though there was a lot of food in front of you." Ma'qil answered, "Indeed, I do not want to abandon what I heard from the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam because of these foreigners. Indeed, if a morsel of food falls, then we will order you to pick it up, then clean the dirt that is stuck to the food and eat it, and do not leave it for Satan (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 3278.) 25th Hadith. God willing God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing " إِذَا وَقَعَتِ اللُّقْمَةُ مِنْ يَدِ أَحَدِكُمْ "" .. Has told us [Ali bin Al Mundzir] has told us [Muhammad bin Fudlail] has told us [Al A'masy] from [Abu Sufyan] from [Jabir] he said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "If a mouthful of food falls from the hand of one of you, he should clean the dirt that sticks to it and then eat it (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 3279.) 26th Hadith. God bless you Allah's blessings مُرَّةَ الْهَمْدَانِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوَِى عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ "" God willing مَرْيَمُ بِنْتُ عِمْرَانَ وَآسِيَةُ امْرَأَةُ فِرْعَوْنَ وَإِنَِ عَلَى سَائِرِ الطَّعَامِ " ..
